The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received an impressive amount of Rs1.15 billion as their share of profit from the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup in England and Wales, despite their early exit in round-one of the tournament. This amount was 14 per cent bigger than the estimated amount.

The reason for the extravagant amount is credited to the rising dollar rate. The PCB receives around nine to ten million dollars annually from the ICC. The revenues are distributed among member countries based on their shares.

The PCB, however, did not achieve the expected revenues through the series against Sri Lanka at home last year. Low crowd attendance and the loss of a match because of rains impacted the final revenue.

It should be noted that previously the PCB presented its accounts after every four months. The new management, however, has now started presenting their accounts every month.
