    shame to see him go, he is still very young to retire - perhaps a year off might have been better, but he would know best.

    an exceptional talent, and huge blow to England.

    Great player indeed, and a proper opener as well. Now that is hard to come by these days..

    Fun fact: if he can somehow score a hundred in the next match? He will join the elite group of players to start and end their carriers with a hundred.

    Bill Ponsford
    Greg Chappel.
    Mohammed Azhruddin.

    I realize he's out of form atm, but he should've taken some time off from cricket and then try to come back. However, if he's not hungry to play that's another thing. But in my opinion he could've serve his country a bit more.
