Just 12 months after Azhar Alireplaced Sarfaraz Ahmed as Pakistan's Test captain, there could be another change on the way, with increasing murmurs in the executive corridors of the PCB's headquarters about a younger replacement. ESPNcricinfo understands Mohammad Rizwan is at the top of the list of potential replacements for the Test captaincy, with the change likely to happen as early as Pakistan's upcoming tour of New Zealand in December.

I think Rizwan is a little too hyper and sentimental to become the Test Captain straight off his shoes.

He did show a good potential though. So I think he should be IMMEDIATELY made the captain of the national T20 and ODI teams where he can learn some more experience to have a mature, cool and wise head on his shoulders before he takes on the Test Captaincy.

Baber Azam should be made the Test Captain.

But then again, as long as you have that LAANTI Misbah vocal behind the scenes, it wouldn't make a difference.
Misbah will make sure to choke the spark in Rizwan and turn him into another Lallu Yes Man type captain.

Misbah will NEVER let a captain think freely and implement his own ideas and his own plans. If we don't remove that LAANTI and keep him 100 miles away from the team, nothing is going to change.

A little bit yeah but Sarfaraz wasn’t a whole lot intelligent or had much of a do or die type brave fighting spirit.
Sarfaraz was more like a galli mohalla type mental intellect.

Rizwan seem to have a little bit of that killer instinct that both Sarfaraz and Azhar (and perhaps Baber too) lack.
