Pakistan chased down 268, courtesy of a brilliant captain's knock by Azhar Ali against the Zimbabweans. It was a brilliant effort that showed great maturity and levelheadedness by the captain

Earlier in the day, Zimbabwe had racked up an imposing 268/7 thanks to a blistering 99 by Chibabha, who was unlucky to be given out when he had clearly missed the ball, and a brilliant knock by Sikandar Raza, who had left Pakistan as he felt he hadn't been given enough chances.

Zimbabwe had begun steadily, as Sibanda played a curious little knock that only consumed deliveries. On the other end, Chibabha was demolishing the ball to all parts and despite the loss of his partner, it seemed 300 was on, until the umpire decided to give him out when he hadn't even touched the ball, completing a mini-collapse that left them at 156/4. However, Sikandar Rara decided that he wanted to show the Pakistan selectors exactly what they'd missed out on, with a blistering counter-attacking ton. It was a display of pure power, best displayed an incredibly brutal destruction of Sami in his comeback over at the death. Sami missed his yorkers and was thrashed for 17 runs, with two towering sixes.

Pakistan begun with Sarfraz and Azhar, and got off to a good aggressive start, with some beautiful shots played, especially by Azhar, belying his reputation as a defensive unit. Sarfraz departed to an ill judged sweep, and Hafeez soon joined him, trying to pull a half tracker out of the ground.

Shafiq and Azhar stabilised as Azhar reached another 50, playing a good, steady knock to keep Pakistan in it. Shafiq supported him ably, before edging a bowl straight to cover where Raza took a brilliant catch, leaving Pakistan with over a 100 runs still left to get.

Haris begun with a beautiful boundary, showing his intent straight away. Pakistan continued in this vein, attacking the Zimbabwe bowling as Azhar and Haris continued to pile on the runs. Haris, in particular, played a couple of glorious shots, as his captain inched closer to another ton, finally getting there with a tickle away to long leg for a couple. It was an outstanding innings, and once again highlighted just how mature the captain had become. Haris continued to pile on the runs as the pair edged Pakistan closer to victory

It had been a brilliant innings but ended with him hitting a short and wide ball straight to point with 60 runs still to get, bringing Malik to the middle. Things could have gone wrong, but a brilliantly cool knock by Malik, blasting everything in his zone, gained Pakistan an easy win to seal the series 2-0.
