Asif totally deserve's it, because its 2nd time he threw his wicket away in this series like this. He needs to understand that he is NOT playing in Lahore, Pindi or Karachi, where boundaries are a joke.
Just drop him man. He's not an international standard player.
Babar's reaction is typical newbie Pakistani captain trying hard to show off his LEADERSHIP skillz
a mature / leadership quality captain would never react like that. he would go back to the pavilion, take Asif to a quiet corner and bash him there
LOL Funniest thing i have seen all day!!
I reckon Bobby was frustrated due to Asif's shot selection - it wasnt needed and also he got out in 1st game playing shot, so frustration is natural, I wouldnt blame him.
Note that this was one ball after Asif Ali refused a second run to bring Babar back on strike.
That's probably fair. Most players don't act like this in public.
That being said...is it possible that this could be a good thing? Maybe captains have been too nice in the past and we need someone who isn't afraid to be like, "yo wtf get your shit together." IDK that method probably wouldn't be effective on me but I do think that subcontinent players are good with the fear of danda.
Good reaction. Now drop him for good. He's a horrible player. Never learns
I have seen it all. I know someone overdoing something when I see someone
Babar is only going to put more pressure on himself. Sarfraz did the same mistake, he started being overly aggressive with his players.
