Here we are again. Pakistan is playing a World Cup in March, once again 2 of our best fast bowlers are out with an injury (it was Akhtar and Asif that time). Just like 8 years ago, Pakistan played Ireland in a crunch game a few days ago but this time we won and made it through. It's a shame Bob isn't here to see his two adopted teams, Pakistan and South Africa in the knockout stages of a World Cup. He'd be hurting when England got knocked out but I'm sure a win by South Africa or Pakistan would have made up for it. Only Younis, Hafeez and Afridi remain from Bob's days as coach of Pakistan. I wonder what he would have been doing now. Retired or coaching another World Cup side?
Definitely one of the saddest incidents in Pakistan cricket and cricket overall. Contributed a lot to Pakistan cricket & is still deeply missed.
Dale Woolmer.. His son This is from 2009. Younis has been a close friend of my father, thanked Younis for dedicating t20 cup to his father. Also said, that Woolmer said that when Pakistani cricketers want to win badly then no one can stop them.
His death will always be a mystery sadly. I personally dont think it was natural, but to each their own. RIP Bob, a shame one of out greatest sporting moments may have lead to your untimely demise
one of those coaches who did their job from heart and tried tried tried....made Afridi a better batsman :clap
A fantastic coach who made Pakistan a side to reckon with and got them going for each other. A very humble human being and one of those respected all over the world.
Hope someone conveys this to Team Pakistan to motivate them even more for the world cup.. Just at the right time.
Top man. I still remember how media tried to malign Pakistan. I remember believing it and my dad told me that this is English medias anti Pak bias at its finest and nothing will come from it. He was right and I havent trusted any news about Pakistan since.
