As long as they do not lose wickets it is ok

The morning session was always going to be tough

True but they should at least keep the scorecard ticking. Need min 250.

Hopefully runs will come through in the next session if these 2 can survive the next 30 mins till lunch.

This session has been England's after they came under criticism for yesterday.

Need to try and get to lunch 5 down. Then after lunch try and push the score ideally to 300 but at least 250. We have a long tail so 300 may be tricky but Shadab was promising with the bat in the PSL and Shan Masood is hanging in there so you never know.

After that hand over to the bowlers and hope Naseem, Shaheen and Abbas find their stride with the ball

    300 is the magic number.

Shadab needs to play his strokes once he is in, after lunch.

If Shan stays, then along with the tail if they can survive he needs to string 20-30 run partnerships and get the score to move towards 300 as much as possible.

Main thing is Shan here who needs to stay till the end if we need to get 250-300.

Don't think so we will reach 300. Very unlikely now.

Loving this running between the wicket and rotation of strike.

It's something we have given our batsmen a tough time for across all formats, and there have been a few risky singles, however, it's great to see the intent to keep the strike rotating and the runs ticking over. Certainly frustrating the English team

very bad news for the future of our cricket.

Now this parchi will stick with the Pak team for next five years.

As I stated earlier - he is just like Imran Farhat.
A one off fluke here n there, and nepotism justified.

This partnership has supposedly surprised a lot of people.

Shan and Shadab 101 from 140 balls.

    Keep going Insha'Allah.

To be fair though, he has seemed to have worked on his game and shown improvement in the last few tests he has played.

Let's not jump to conclusions too quickly especially now that he is doing well.

Most importantly, he is helping the team cause. Parchi or not.

Just as everyone was praising them, Shadab plays an ugly shot and gets out.

Stupid by Shadab. Threw away his wicket at very crucial time

    Why?
Lets have a see saw effect in the game to spice it up and make it nerve wreckingly interesting. That's the trait of Pak cricket. We are famous for stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

So far Shan + Shadab + Babar = 262 runs

    Abid + Azhar + Shafiq + Rizwan + Yasir + Shaheen = 38 runs

This is just the first innings of the series but in the future innings we really can't afford 4 of our top 6 contributing a grand total of 32 runs.

    Very well played Shan Masood

Battled his way to a 100 then his last 50 took him 60 balls.

First Pak opener since Saeed Anwar to do so in England.

    This in itself speaks volumes.
