Sarfaraz believes no side will take Pakistan lightly after their win against the tournament favourites England.

“Every team is scared of Pakistan after the England match. Momentum is high and the dressing room is confident,” Sarfaraz said.

However, the Pakistan skipper was left disappointed after Pakistan’s match with Sri Lanka at Bristol was abandoned due to rain, without a ball being bowled.

Sarfaraz was desperate to get on the field as he wanted to carry Men in Green’s brilliant form from their previous game against England.

“As a team we really wanted to play this match especially after gaining momentum with the win against England,” said Sarfaraz. “It is unfortunate that we were not able to play.”

He added: "We would want to carry the momentum into the remaining games. We won’t relax in our remaining six matches.”

The washout gave Pakistan squad a chance to engage in a lengthy gym session at the County Ground while the crowd dispersed.

The 32-year-old believes an extended break will help them prepare better for their next encounter against defending champions Australia at Taunton on June 12.

"Like other teams in the tournament, Australia are also a tough opponent,” added Sarfaraz. “They also have momentum as they have won their first two matches.”

“We have a few days now to prepare for the match and we will try to prepare at our best to enter the field as well as we can,” he added.

    “Scared”?

That’s what happens when you let these illiterate dumb jahils freely open their mouths.

Now this is going over board. Put your head down and perform your job. Just won one game and he is flying high. Remember you also lost so badly against not so strong team.

Sarfraz is annoying now. Unpredictability is not good. It's a failure of system. If you can beat the best team in the world it shows capability but losing against average sides shows the hard work and effort is not there.

what else would anyone else expect hime to say? these interviews with any captain or player from any side are just media pr events, nothing more. he's hardly going to say, 'we were more surprised than anyone at our fluke the other day, but dont worry, we still think we are crap and will crash out of the tournament because of our incompetent coach and selector and their terribly poor planning coming into this tournament over the past few years.'

    no big deal, ignore.

This is the best team. Get over your love for Fawad Alam, he's not good. Do whatever you like he's not gonna become good. This is the best team baring 1-2 exceptions but if you look at previous squads like champions trophy 2013 and world cup 2015 it's far far far better.

I agree, This is probably one of the best squads we have named in 10 years. The only player I didn’t want to see was Wahab tbh.

    Here you go.
Take the shaft and hopefully it's long enough that it will make it all the way to stick in your throat to make you shut up.

I think he feels good by dishing out saucy comments to the media. Much like the rest of our team. Its choti choti khushiyaan and they know they can get away with it because the board is stupid also and the awaam are fools.

The awaam itself is corrupt and not hard-working so what should we expect from our cricketers? They eat the same food as us and have the same genes.

I am sure Sarfaraz will thump his chest and remind us that,
“I told you, every team is scared of us”
    after marginally beating Afghanistan.

But for now, it’s another shaft in the rear end, and that too is laced with hot chilli.

Need to somehow find an educated & street smart captain. Misbah was educated but when it comes to cricket mentally dull, sarf lacks both common sense as well as education.

Every team is certainly scared of the bacteria coming out of your yawn. Stay away from us.
