Experienced duo Shoaib Malik & Mohammad Hafeez made light work of West Indies, as Pakistan chased down the target of 234 in the 43rd over. Winning the toss, Jason Holder had elected to bat first, but the West Indies lost wickets regularly on a tricky pitch before Shai Hope and Jason Mohammed stitched a partnership to get West Indies to a competitive 233.

In reply, Pakistan lost Kamran Akmal off the very first ball and Shehzad followed soon after. Babar Azam played some delightful shots but was bowled off Gabriel to leave Pakistan reeling at 36/3. But Malik & Hafeez had other plans and showed every bit of their experience as they rotated strike and attacked the spinners, before Hafeez finally fell. Malik and Sarfraz then ensured there were no more hiccups with Malik hitting a six off Holder in the first delivery of the 43rd over to secure the victory and series for Pakistan and to get to his 9th ODI century.
