no thats just what you got out of my post that had no mention of Azhar Ali. I think you have more issues with Azhar Ali than Fawad Alam. Fawad Alam>> Azhar Ali.

Instead of arguing over Fawad, we should be arguing about getting the Mohali'ar out of team before he does more Mohali's!

    Make Afridi interim captain!

Strange but Misbah's quick dismissals in the last few ODI's have been a blessing in disguise. The same goes for YK in ODI. As they waste lots of deliveries making it only more difficult for the batsmen who come later.

Fawad scores freely when the field is open, promoting him up to 3/4 won't work imo.

Fawad is an upgrade on misbah. . I think he will be made captain of Pakistan in odis and tests if he continues his good form..

ehtesham forget about potent pace attack.. we as a team struggle against quality pace, no need to target Fawad alone. He is a hard working guy and you need this attitude in team..on top of that he is a very good fielder.

Azhar was not my example for you, that was an example for another poster who brought in a slightly different topic about winning one at the cost of many loses.
Let me copy a previous post of mine and add a little to it.

Hilarious how you state a point and when your own post beats your point you try and dodge.

Effect me in real life? - Laughable.

    Who said I hate Fawad?
Since I personally believe there could be a better option for now, I hate him? - Your posts are pathetic.

Here, this is for you just so you don't start crying over thinking I hate Fawad.

What would you like me to do now? - Put a poster of your hero in my bedroom?

Funnily enough I bet half these guys didn't even watch the match from the point when Fawad and Maqsood came to the crease and are passing their judgements by the end and not the start.
Had they seen the pressure and way Maqsood batted when Fawad was struggling early on they would realise why you bumped this thread.

Is a must in the ODI side and has been recently doing what Misbah is supposed to do. Stick around and pick up the RR at the end.

There is no room for him + MIsbah + Younis in a side though.

Younis Khan could be replaced by an allrounder like Hammad Azam or Anwar Ali who can bat down the order and bowl as well.

It's sad that his bowling has regressed and is an average bowler, but his batting (which is quite good) could be useful down the order, if the top order fails, it would add an extra batsman and used as a bowler in case the top three seamers fail to deliver. The same applies for Hammad Azam, although a better batsman.

If not who would you replace Younis with, I'm assuming you want Misbah to remain in the side?

Seems like you were itching to see him fail and post in this thread.

One innings. Seriously i will happily drop fawad the moment there are 6 players in our team who can play swing, seam and bounce and spin and can score runs. Since we dont have them, we need to come out of the delusion that we have great ATG batsmen and utilized whatever resources we have. fawad has shown that he can score thus he deserves his place.

Fawad has shown that he can score big at team's expense. No other player could dare match that feat.

As if I support Misbah!! I'm a well know hater of his.

I don't hate Fawad, I hate his match losing skills. Good record? One useful knock against a mediocre attack doesn't make one's record good. You couldn't even back your claim of Fawad always maintaining a strike rate of 90 in the other thread. He's not an accumulator, which you guys always try to make him look, he's poor man's Misbah.

Its suicidal to play Shehzad, Misbah and Fawad together, plus its pretty obvious that Misbah ain't going nowhere till the world cup, hence Fawad (the most limited loi player between these 3) has got to make way for someone else.

Fawad along with Shehzad are our future Misbah's.

Don't get me wrong Fawad especially has been very good since his comeback and Shehzad has been decent.

But rather than going into stats etc etc. Look at their game there is many flaws, for example Fawad literally has to throw his whole body to hit the boundary line and luckily in Bangladesh and UAE they weren't that far, and not to mention because he stands that far from leg stump clever bowlers will keep bowling off stump stopping him roatating strike and thus the pressure builds (more suited to test cricket than ODI). These are just two minor flaws to be honest.

People will soon ask for his ouster when he finally dons the Misbah cap, not long. I suppose till then it's "beggars can't be choosers".

Seriously his spot is number 3 or 4 if he is ever to succeed but the real problem was not this. It was that aussies easily cramped him for room by angling the ball in middle stump. they totally worked him out and he has to come back here otherwise he will be a domestic wonder only.

He should bat at 4 while Maqsood should bat at 3, but Pakistani management and Misbah are really a bunch of useless...
