I just got off the phone to Mohammad Irfan and Saboor Ahmed. Apparently Sky Sports came to the NCA to do some interviews with the PCB Chairman, Aaqib Javed and Intikhab Alam. Aaqib introduced them to Irfan and they filmed him as well, they seemed very impressed.

A South African news crew were also in attendance to talk to Aaqib about the Sri Lankan incident but when they saw Irfan they spent some time learning about him as well. Below is a link to the footage of Irfan, there's a very short clip of Irfan from 01:40 in the video...

Irfan said he's met the Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam a few times now and that Inti always shows interest in Irfan and asks him how he is.

Irfan attented a HBL camp last week and everyone was impressed with what they saw, so it looks like he'll be playing for HBL when the NCA release him to play first class!

There's also talk of Irfan attending the Aussie series camp in order for him to get to bowl to the top batsmen and for them to handle some steep bounce! This hasn't been confirmed but he's been told to remain ready in case it goes ahead.

Yesterday Irfan played a club game where he took 3/20-odd in 6 overs and clanged several batsmen on their heads (he seemed quite pleased about that).

Lastly he said that he's really feeling the difference the training is making because he used get tired after a 4-5 overs but now he was bowling 10+ overs on the trot and not even feeling it!
