I think we should give him a good run in the team and see what he is made of.

8 wickets for him in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy match.

    http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-domestic-2014-15/engine/match/783211.html

I know this won't go well with most here, but this has got a bit to do with Kami too. He lets Hammad bowl ahead off his main pacers. If Sir Tanvir was his captain, he'd make sure Hammad doesn't get to bowl one over.

P.s: I admit Hammad ain't that good a bowler and pitches up north are under prepared too, but that being said, he's just about the right guy we need at number 6/7. Could chip in with 5/6 overs and has amazing potential with the bat. I really hope to see him at the WC, IA.

ehtesham I hate to say this but I don't think he will make it to the WC unless they drop Anwar Ali and try him against the Kiwis.

Annu is not a proper batsman, Hammad is. As far as bowling is concerned, both are equally poor.

Hammad should mould his bowling into a "Pollard, Bravo" type. Where he would be reliant on leg cutters, off cutters, slower balls etc. Obviously he doesn't have the pace but if he can bowl those variations at even say 125 kph on the slow and low UAE wickets he could be a decent prospect.

It's his batting that can be handy, how many times have we lost by like 20 runs etc, runs that he as a lower order finisher rather than Afridi at 7 would have more chance of knocking off.

Won't mind him in the t20 squad, can use the long handle and if he develops his bowling the way I said so, like I said could be a decent prospect.

8 wickets in an innings is nothing to sneeze at, even on a seaming wicket. Top stuff, seems Hammad Azam's really improved with the ball

His non-selection is baffling. Especially when we keep getting the likes of Kukkad and Anwar Ali for the same role.

Anwar and Hammad seem to have completely changed their U19 roles.

Hammad a decent batsman but has excelled with ball lately, Anwar has not done anything noteworthy with ball but bats quite well

It's a typical pakistani situation to be leaving him out even when he is performing very good in domestic cricket. Had my choice had a say, he would've been ahead of Shahid Afridi any time, he is someone who can finish and produce a worthy innings consistently, he's improved with the ball and if he can deliver the variation and his pace improving a little more he can become special for us, especially on the conditions we're going to face at Aus/NZ.

I have to agree with you that Anwar looks more than decent with the bat and is improving on the job! He's am excellent asset in the field as well. Management currently rate Bilawal higher than Anwar as an All Rounder so he needs world-class performances to dislodge then from the reckoning!

Management rates Bilawal higher than Anwar yet Bilawal hasn't played any matches since March. Okay.

Because Bilawal Bhatti has been struggling with injuries since then so his fitness is not upto the mark.

four more wickets for Hammad Azam today

Anwar Ali has had a top series vs UAE for the second team, but I'd pick both for NZ series

It will probably be Anwar Ali and Sohail Tanvir again. I doubt Hammad will play for Pakistan anytime soon.

You do know I don't watch every FC game :p
He is taking wickets quite frequently. His FC bowling avg is 18 which suggests he must be doing something good. He bowls with the new ball at FC level, so that might be helping.

Tbh, Hammad is nowhere as good as his bowling figures suggest. He's a slightly faster version of Sir Annu, at best #HugeCompliment

Legends have picked 3 legendary squads today. Feels great to see both Fawads making it to the odi squad, them two combined with the deadly duo of Azhar and Asad would make Aussie bowling attack look school kids.

Hopefully we get whitewashed in all formats.
