These are their numbers on SA tour so far.

As you can see Imad has been consistent, but not Shadab.

Shadab is on slippery slope since 5th ODI, and seems like SA are targeting him and he is unable to bounce back.

Is it a concern? What do you think?

Shadab has been poor without doubt. But don't think he's a concern.

Leg spinners are always more expensive than left arm spinners as they are more attacking options. Left arm spinners are generally economical and defensive options!!

Shadab in longer run will turn into Afridi type leg spinner sooner he accepts it, better it will be for Pakistan.

Whats the biggest disappointment is that, SA are showing him all the corners of the park. A team which is not known for playing spin well.

    Include imad’s batting also.

He’s a gutsy player and one of the few arrays of light from a gloomy tunnel.

Its more worrying that nobodies of SA are playing him with ease.

    Two points.

    1. Imad gets really unnecessary hate on this forum. Hes an excellent utility player and is good for keeping the economy rate controlled. He is never going to average under 30 in ODIs but if he can get his bowling average to about 35 and his batting sustained at around 27 he is very very handy.

    2. Shadab is very young. Incredibly talented. He has the world at his feet. Considering that greater than 50% of his career is in international cricket at such a tender age its not unreasonable for him to have a few bad days at this stage.

This kid will be playing world cup 2023. He will be captaning the side in world cup 2027. His experience in South africa in 2019 will be a mere footnote in an illustruous career.

You guys were crying out for youth. Now when youngsters play and dont perform amazingly the knives are out straight away. He is 20 years old.

Forget 2027, looking at his fitness he can even play the 2035 World Cup at the age of 36. 5 World Cups.

Just needs to maintain his performances over the years.
