What we can expect is another pulwama like attack, and then indian border firing being presented as sir-g-kal-strike drama. but this time the most listened to Pakistani (Imran khan) in India have already cried out loud the possibility.

According to this report, India is breaking the peace convention of '96 and 2005 where both the Indian and Chinese forces are restricted from using fire arms on the border.

Now if that happens, China is going to take over whatever they want.

More than India, the (not actually liberals) but so called 'liberal brigade' are responsible for this, Hamid Mir has openly hosted the likes of Mama Qadeer on his show despite him literally begging India for weapons, Jibran Nasir and 'they' eulogised Allah Nazar on media for some time, recently uni admin got involved like Nida Kirmani and her ilk defending 2 terrorists as 'oppressed youth' and the list goes on. When you have a so called 'elite enlightened liberal brigade' that act as if only they understand and know about the Balochistan issue, outside interference can only achieve so much.

Pakistan needs to curtail these elements within the country first and the outside influence will wane as they use these people for 'soft power' without the need for them to get involved a lot more heavily.

to be honest when we consider kashmiris and other similar strugglers as freedom fighters then why do we consider them terrorist?

So attacking another countries consulate and killing security forces in your own country, admitting you were planning further attacks - when clearly you have studied and had the amenities to go via a democratic route to get your grievances out - is a freedom fight? Or similar to the Kashmiri fighters in IOJK?

But yes I do agree with your general point, freedom fighters and terrorists are probably based on your own personal perspective.

NEW DELHI: A significant Chinese buildup at the Depsang plains, which lie close to the Daulat Beg Oldie airfield, has emerged as another area of concern amid the current standoff in eastern Ladakh.

The Chinese have violated the Indian perception of LAC in Depsang by moving in troops and building a considerable strength close to the area with tanks and artillery, sources said. The buildup is of particular concern as China claims an area of about 20 km inside the Indian territory.

Sources said Chinese deployments are now well within the Indian side of LAC and at least two roads are rapidly being constructed for fast movement of troops.

The location is also strategic as Chinese side can use its units there to interdict and cut off road access to the DBO airfield as well as the Karakoram pass. Indian territory under threat includes the camp at Burtse and the Raki Nalla area while the buildup has been observed at a feature known as bottleneck, sources said.

    ..........................................................................

First Galwan and now Depsang, India continuing to lose territory, wonder what app Modi will ban next.

Anyway hope this carries on and both sides remain engaged in a stand-off for some time.

Only concern is how the coward Indian army will make innocent Kashmiri's pay for their embarrassment.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...ve-been-taken-india-china-himalayan-land-grab

Namgyal Durbuk knows the steep mountainous terrain of Ladakh like the back of his hand. But in the 45 years he has lived here, along the Indian state’s volatile and poorly defined border with neighbouring China, he has watched Indian land disappear before his eyes.

“The Indian government is lying that there is no land capture by China,” said Durbuk, a former councillor. “Our vast green pastures, where local herders used take their cattle, have been taken over. A number of locals have been forced by this situation to sell their cattle and move towards urban settlements for their livelihood.”

To those living along the poorly demarcated Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, a statement by Modi in the aftermath of the attack, that “China did not enter our territory” rang false. They allege Chinese incursions into Galwan and other disputed areas, such Panong Tso, are just a continuation of the norm.

An exclusive image obtained by the Guardian of Panong Tso, a freshwater lake on the border where a similar but non-deadly clash occurred between Indian and Chinese forces on 5 May, clearly shows substantial Chinese military structures, including a radar tower, that have been built close to a ridge known as Finger Four in just the last few weeks, despite agreements to disengage.

There are eight ridges around Panong Tso, known as the eight fingers. Former military commanders and locals say India used to control the whole area, but Chinese troops have gradually moved in and as of two weeks ago it is understood they now control four of the eight fingers. China is said to be building a helipad and other infrastructure around Finger Four, as well as bringing more troops into the territory.

“The villagers are scared by the presence of the Chinese forces. They are so close they can even see their lights in the night for the first time,” said Durbuk, who recently visited the area and fears India will lose entire the Ladakh region in the coming 20 years if the Chinese annexation continues.

    ..........................................................................

Whilst '56 inch' wala parades his chest around (conveniently) Ladakh/Leh, seems the Chinese are seizing territory when and as they see fit.

The public is lapping up their governments propaganda whilst the Chinese take what they want when they want.

Those 23 soliders deaths have been in vain.

And Pakistan will also hate to see any war between China and india and if something were to happen, would most certainly fulfill its duty as a responsible State and mediate between both her neighbours...

Or like Hamid Karzai said back in the day, if war breaks out between Pak and india, we will help our brothers Pakistan.

    Basically, haathi ke daant...

I haven't seen the video yet so wont comment on it but.
It is foolish of Indians to think that recent muscle flexing by china at ladakh has no connection of 5 august action of india in kashmir. It was not the only reason but one of the 'major' reasons. You need to understand the timing aswell. Their actions speaks louder than their words, they hardly speak anyway.
Also trying to prove that China will not protect interests of the most sale-able army in the world, Pakistan, which has previously done all the dirty laundry for the US and middle east, and is right now under its wing, ie funds being floated to them in the name of CPEC/BRI project. India and china may have a bigger economic relation as compared to pakistan china, but pakistan and chinese forces and war toys relation is extremely 'close' and closest in the region.

The official revealed that in Depsang Plains, from patrolling point 10-13, the scale of Chinese control of India’s perception of the LAC stood at about 900 sq.km.

About 1,000 square kilometres of area in Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is now under Chinese control, intelligence inputs provided to the Centre suggest.

China has been amassing troops and fortifying its presence along the LAC since April-May. Twenty soldiers were killed on June 15 in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh in violent clashes with China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops.
