TIL, India were chasing 257 in ODI match vs West Indies. They were 195-5 in 41 overs, needing 63 to win from 54 balls. Manoj Prabhakar was batting on 80 or 90 odd, and Nayan Mongia joined him. For some reason, they pulled the shutter down and made 16 runs from next 9 overs. Mongia made 4 from 21. Prabhakar made unbeaten 102 from 154, and India ended up at 211-5. Match fixing is the most common theory to explain why this happened. But even with fixing, who would be THAT obvious?? To just let a chase go from a perfectly reasonable situation of needing 63 from 54 with 5 wickets in hand.
