Buttler reacted badly after Philander stood his ground and blocked the path of the ball which was thrown in by an England fielder.

When Philander came to the crease, South Africa were 237-6, with England desperately searching for wickets to win the Test and level the four-match series at 1-1.

Despite the resistance of Pieter Malan, Rassie van der Dussen, Quinton de Kock and Philander, England bowled South Africa out with eight overs remaining.

During the evening session, Buttler could be heard telling Philander: ‘F***ing move. F***ing knobhead. Get past that f***ing gut.’

The pair continued to exchange words for the rest of the over, with South Africa’s Dwaine Pretorius intervening at the change of ends.

At least he didn't make fun of Philander's skin color, like a certain WK did.

LOL, any evidence that you can present to prove your claim? The moron by the name of Sarfaraz Ahmed was caught by the stump mic while racially abusing a black cricketer from South Africa. Where is the proof regarding Harbhajan?

I dont see anything wrong with this.

Philander did it on purpose, earned some abuse from Butler. Butler could have gotten hurt there because of Philandar

There is no evidence to suggest that Harbhajan called Symonds a monkey.

Outraged? Pakistani fans were busy arguing how it was not a racial attack by Sarfaraz. They were bringing every excuse under the sun to make it look like an innocent mistake.

A lot of swearing happens on the field. This is nothing. Buttler just got heard.

this is test cricket. The real deal. Philander didn’t seem to complain about it anyways, he prob gives it back in his own way.

Very childish counter argument - If it wasn't caught that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

On subject, I dont see anything wrong with Philander's action. He stood his ground and why he shouldn't?

    "Outraged Pakistani fans"?

Lets look at the Indian public's "Innocent Mistakes" in comparison, when it comes to interacting with Africans.

NZ Keeper Adam Parore encountered something similar. Guy Whittal (Zimbabwe) stood his ground and didnt move.
Parore ended up slapping Whittal on the head and everyone was fine with it because Whittal did that on purpose.

Philandar did the same thing on purpose. He should have at least moved aside
