When Pakistani player do this, it becomes ball-tampering when English players do it, then its art, clear in no time and whole thing slipped under the rug - Mashallah, it's height of double standard.
It is indeed very interesting to see this cleared up in less than a day. Just a quick phone call to Plunkett and he says yeah all alright and that's it.

Exactly, you can imagine how this would have played out if the script was flipped and you had someone like Hassan Ali on video doing that to the ball. There would have been no friendly phone call to Hassan Ali resulting in him giving his word and clearing up everything in a day.
Even if we take ICC out of it, how in the world can the field umpires let players play with the ball in this condition? There is a piece of leather ripped and hanging loose on the right side. They usually have little scisssors to immediately cut such pieces off the ball.
I don't think liam tampered however Sarfraz should have told the umpires, no wonder we were not getting boundaries. Ball should have been replaced of course, everyone knows how to make a ball reverse perhaps England kept the ball the same to make sure Pakistan find it difficult to hit big shots?
