dawan. Aur khelo ooncha
Blame lies on all the batsmen, excluding Umar, and on Tanvir and Sarfraz.
What kind of ridiculous shot was Sarfraz attempting? Like seriously? Talk about showing your hand and then using your hand when you are 100% to lose out. That ball was so wide outside off stump, you could have fit a ferry between the wickets and the ball. The sweep off the fast bowlers is something that makes him unorthodox but you can't play such a shot wherever and whenever you want. The ball was so wide, he fell over for goodness' sake!
And I seriously don't know when we are going to get rid of this deadwood Tanvir from the team. Bowls two decent overs with a few swinging balls and the management thinks he is the second coming of Akram. Gets smashed a lot, doesn't take wickets regularly, drops dollies, can't run between the wickets, is as selfish as hell trying to be a hero and turning down two's, the list is flippin' endless. Blame lies largely with Lala and his apparently "aggressive" captaincy.
And the batsmen are just a lost cause. We see this in every game. Regardless of a good start or not, we ALWAYS lose wickets in a heap and our middle-order hardly ever shows up.
Annoying as hell!
Its the buzz word for us for about the past decade. Look "aggressive" is the end all and be all.
Sarfaraz should consider a career as janitor. His constant sweeping will be much appreciated there
Very shrewd these days Coz after your almost match winning 28(35)
it was 30 balls
gotta celebrate a career best score like that in style y'know.
Especially when benefiting off a nice umpiring howler or two
and about 3 edges
we lost by 3 runs. after Tanvir dropping a sitter, 3 runs were scored
Waqar Younus should be sacked!!
why ?!!! he didn't drop those catches and he played Shehzad
eik bowler kon kam khila raha hai!! they only have 5 bowlers! Aur Shahzad ne last night kitna zabardast perform kiya sab ke samne hai!! odis aur t20s mein extra batsman khilaya hai Waqar ne which is reason for our downfall!@! we need 6 bowlers!!
Haha was a good innings man, you got your team to a very respectable total which was almost defended. But the sledging by one of your team mates backfired in the last 2 overs I play better angry lol
Pakistani batting as always
and bowling for a change
minus Sarfraz Amir and Malik
Sami ao na aaj shaam zara khusboo laga kay.
Sami is the culprit. Always flops under pressure.
In all three matches, top three batsmen (Sharjeel, Khurram and Hafeez) and Afridi's captaincy/team selection.
Top order flopped but Malik and co got us to a good position.
Blame sits solely and squarely on Sami today. As a 'senior' player bowling 2 no balls is criminal.
In T20s the top 3 score > 50% of team's total on the average. Our flopped in all three matches.
Plus 129 was never enough.
Well, PCB has a very strong history of selecting players after 1-2 flash in the pan performances.
Sami is 35 years old. Fast bowlers are finished well before that. I would have picked a younger player like Zia Ul Haq. But i guess, PCB will never change.
Hafeez, Sharjeel, Akmal, Khurram and Afridi for not batting well.
104 to win. Is it too early to bump this thread?
Given that the guy is supposedly expert in anchoring the innings, stopping the collapse and stabilizing the innings!
Agree with @XYZ that one shot over the past 5 days is the reason we may not win this match
Comes down to the captain in this game I think. Couldn't take 20 wickets.
Not for his batting but not enforcing follow on was really the reason in my opinion.
I disagree about the follow on and the part about agreeing with xyz was also a joke as its silly to reduce a 5 day game of cricket to one shot.
I do however feel Misbah takes majority of the blame for 2 main reasons.
Poor team selection - we have done very well in UAE with 2 pacers and 2 genuine spinners. Also Imran khan has been wonderful in UAE too so if three seamers were to be played he should have been one. Personally I would have dropped Sohail Khan and played Babar too reduce workload on Yasir.
Second reason the tempo of batting wasnt sufficient on day 2. Given the flat pitch and crap bowling Pakistan should have batted more aggressively.
Those are the two reasons I can pinpoint and blame lies with the skipper for them both.
Third reason I cannot explain who is to blame for the collapse.
I think follow on decision was correct.
Speaking of duties that you mentioned in another post - o, well, never mind!
No, it is not just that shot.
1) That shot was the big reason.
2) I think, he declared too early.
3) Waqar a few minutes was blaming Misbah and had been blaming his since yesterday for not putting attacking fielders in the beginning of the WI innings.
Read my very first post in this thread and the recent one here to see where my duties lie
As usual, your Misbah bashing backfires as he takes us to another test win. Scenes.
I knew, it is too hard for you to figure out but let me explain very slowly;
I -------- bumped -------- this -------- thread -------- for --------- Pakistan ------ win ---------- to ----------
----------- the --------- West Indian ---------- innings!
I want Pakistan to win - does not matter who the captain is. Luckily Pakistan won, even though Misbah tried his best to destroy it for Pakistan!
Misbah got a crucial run out but tried his best to lose it
Jinxing doesn't exist.
Afridi and Miandad fued
Lol at this bump.

So who is the match ka mujirim?
Of course, it can't be the best captain in the 130+ years old history of cricket because he only wins test matches for us. Batting, bowling, fielding, pitch and a a few planes flying over the cricket stadium lose us the match!
All the batsmen were match ke mujrims
So two Afridi-like shots in one TEST series by the captain-anchor-savior!
^ Chill. Everybody has bad days.
But yeah the middle order batsmen are to blame, and Misbah's captaincy was poor in this game - we had WI 38/3 in the 1st innings and 60 odd for 5 in the 2nd. Better captaincy could have attained a better result.
Should also have played Babar Azam (or Fawad Alam) instead of Nawaz.
I really wonder how @XYZ will pass the time when Misbah retires. His entire life revolves around him
