Mohammed Yousuf is out on 72. Unlucky for the great man.

    Chaminda Vaas gets him.

Don't agree about Malik. Check his stats. We need guys who average 40+

Though his team lost its good to see he scored some runs since he's been struggling for a while now. Its hard to see legends struggling to get their game going

A century today (108*) when the top order flopped. Add that to the two 50s he's already scored while being there only 2-3 weeks without acclimitation and with so little cricket over the last 15 months. Like they say, class is permanent.

He certainly needs to be in our test team, no doubt about it!

How we'd all love Yousuf to be over in the Caribbean batting right now...

MoYo's starting to find his mojo... with a centure and then a fifty in two innings v Worcester. Both his innings being the highest in the match

High scored again with 68 in the second inning. In only 2-3 weeks, he has hit 3 fifties and a century with no acclimatisation. Legend!

Another 74* today, he is really pilling on the runs in just his first month there:

Group B: Warwickshire v Durham at Birmingham, May 22, 2011 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

His strike rate of 134 (with 3 sixes) shows how good his form is, he is not playing long innings at the expense of the team, unlike some others in the pak team. I really hope he plays the full season so he can stay in form and continues to play cricket until PCB comes to its senses. I've said it before, a player of Yousef's class is bound to make a lot of runs when given a uninterrupted run without the side shows.

He's been piling the runs recently. Still can't believe he isn't in the Test side.

he never scored with this kind of rate for pakistan. maybe it shows the standard of bowlers too. not saying that he isnt't very good batsman and in good form but comparing what he is doing in county cricket with whats happeining at international level is bit unjust.

Its also helps when you not fighting to remain in the team with senior offcials higher up *****ing about you. I imagine at his club he's getting a lot of respect from the players and youngsters as well as the board members who recognise the amount of talent this guy has and appreciate it.

I dont think you saw him in the 2006/7 season; I remember his tours against Zimbabwe (granted now are pathetic but this was a better side of the early 2000s) and South Africa where he was in blistering touch. Here are some of the scores from the one day matches:

    Yousuf Youhana not out 100 96 68 8 2 147.05
    Yousuf Youhana not out 141 188 147 13 3 95.91
    Yousuf Youhana not out 76 56 34 3 8 223.52

Against international sides! Like someone has stated before, class is permanent and cannot be ignored. However, my main concern is long terml; he cant be fit forever he probably has a year of cricket left in him and i wouldnt bring him back and see him look silly at the international scene and then dump him again! Give one of our greats a proper send off which our board has never reserved even for the likes of Wasim, Waqar & Shoaib.
