Amazon and ebay are popular when it comes to online shopping. But some major outlets have also opened up their online stores, the one's that I know off for clothing and electronics being sportsdirect and PC World. I have purchased quite a few stuff online and you've got say its not that bad as it can be. The only one sweatshirt that I got was a good fit for size and some electronic gadgets have been as per the specs as well.

Its always much better to buy from the actual stores but its difficult to deny that online shopping is not convinient especially when you are completely aware of what specifications or sizes you're looking to get.

Do you do online shopping? Which websites would you recommend?

Going to Actual stores is better unless you want to buy something which is unavailable in the country you live in.

For electronics then I`ll definitely not buy online unless I cant get it here.

It's a difficult territory, the usual thinking is that the chances of getting scammed online is more than when u buy on stores. But that's not true. Energy rightly said, if you know your stuff, have the knowledge of what you are buying than online shopping is really convenient. You got to try some sites first just like you try some stores first and then decide if they are reliable. I bought a wireless router recently as the previous one stopped working, after a lot of research I selected a model I liked and looked for its price online. A Pakistani store was selling it, it was a reliable Site. Any ways I just noted the price and decided to check the nearby market for the same model. I got different prices from all the stores and all were a little expensive than the one quoted online. So I ordered it online, got the package the very next day and paid after opening the box and checking the router.

It saves time as well.. And used as a competitive edge by companies..

Even takeaways also take online order/payment now.

Imo, this is a brilliant innovation, not only time saving but also cost-effective.. You save money on petrol etc as well and just order online.

I don't mind buying stuff online, unless the price is over £40-50 - you never know with some unreliable sites. It's okay buying cheap items, which are not that expensive.

For clothes/shoes etc I prefer to go to the shops but for Electronics/TV etc online is best.

I personally never buy electrical goods from shops anymore.

Why would you when it is so much cheaper online? I do go to shops to physically see the products but if they want my business then they have to compete on price!

I also order a lot from Amazon from items such as running socks right through to business card holders. We live in a fast moving world and for me to go to town centre and purchase items takes a minimum of one hour.

Online shipping is also perfectly safe is you buy from reputable retailers.

I enjoy coffee so buy world wide coffee from specialist retailers. There is nothing equivalent nearby so shows why Internet is so powerful.

I find it to be extremely convenient if you know what you want to buy. You'll more often than not find what you're looking for for a much cheaper price, without affecting the quality of the product.

Also a good way to get hard to find stuff, as Waq pointed out.

I shop on line quite a bit. Amazon is my overall favourite, they have everything.

There are several reasons such as a lack of international payment options. In Pakistan, we don’t have PayPal which amazon accepts. Because of this, we are unable to do online shopping from USA brands like Wal-mart, Amazon, and eBay in Pakistan. In spite of the above issue, you can import the world best quality product via online stores in Pakistan.
