Details are all very murky at the moment. Eitherways Pak will get shafted. If he was here and we didnt know..we are stupid. If he was here and we did know but didnt tell, we are guilty in the eyes of the world. On contrary if we helped Americans kill him than we are guilty in the eyes of extremists and have to deal with their backlash locally :(

Well there are no doubts that Pakistan helped the US here. The area in Abbotabad where his residence was, is very close to PMA. Last three days there has been extensive military deployment. Additionally there was NO Load-shedding in Abbotabad yesterday.

Was the military deployed to protect OBL or carry out an operation against him?

Just surprised why the Americans haven't released a picture or video evidence of the incedent. They did so during the capture of saddam and also releasing the footage of him being hanged.

According to the BBC, it was a strictly covert operation with no international authorities informed including Pakistan. The helicopter was flying below radar.

Not really sure if the load shedding had anything to do with it tbh, I don't think it helped either way.

Exactly! And now when it's come to Osama, they've just come out saying that they tried giving the body over to Saudi Arabia but they refused to take it so they just simply buried it in a sea.

There's going to be a backlash to this especially now with the Tehreek-e-Talibans coming out with statements that they'll be taking out attacks on Pakistani leaders, army and the US.

Soon as the Osama killed news came out there was a blast in Char Saddah, Peshawar which perhaps triggered the start of it...killing around 5-6 people and injured a dozen.

Well that's according to BBC. Not according to the people who live in Abbotabad

Apparently they were quoting the guys who led the attack from america, they had video of a reporter questioning one of the American officials. I find it difficult to believe that the US could do a snatch and grab operation next to Pakistan's military academy with a helicopter flown in all the way from afghanistan without getting noticed. Maybe Pakistan were in on it but didn't want to take credit for fear of backlash from his supporters of which there are many in Pakistan.
