Considering our T20 win was just a consolation win, we lost the series and SA were playing a weak side. Not sure the need for such comments from our ex/current players. Surely our standards have to be higher. These comments would make sense if we won the series.

We aren’t minnows like Afghanistan to be celebrating a one off win v SA as if it’s an upset.

Pak has been minnow since the turn of the century. Its true, blue poyz always beat top teams and now are winning series away.

Pakistan since turn of century has won following series against big teams in Odis; defeated England twice, drew once in a series, defeated New Zealand 3 times and drew once, defeated SA once, defeated Australia once, defeated India 2-3 times, won Asia cup twice, won champions trophy. Against Sri lanka even they have done jack all, only recently they have beat them 5-0 and 3-2.

    #minnows and proud

Agreed. This part of our culture/habit needs to change for us to be a ruthless, top top side.

Don't think ex/current SA players even made such statements despite winning the series.

haha this is hilarious ,they're behaving as if we won the t20 series.
consolation win that too against one of the most inexperienced SA side to take field in recent times.
had it been a proper thumping some jubilation would've made sense .

The standards had dropped to such levels that we are congratulating the team on winning a dead rubber while losing the series? And that too in a T20 series. If it was a Test match then one could understand this reaction. Mind blowing to say the least. Proper minnow mentality this.

And thus there will be little to no improvement bcz such reactions and backing would only emboden the mediocrity that plagues our cricket...

Why stop here? Why not congratulate our world cup campaign already by stating we didn't have to play the qualifiers..

No offence but the slogan "tum jeeto ya Haroo humain tumse piyar hai" basically supports and spreads the notion that we should take whatever we get and back the team even if they are a bunch of TTF players and bits and pieces...

If we as fans and supporters and management don't raise our standards then how can we expect our team and players to improve, to make changes, to stand above...

11 matches and only 3 won is pathetic for a team with a rich cricketing history like Pakistan which has a population pool and cricket crazy population...

I dont know man, sometime I get this impression from these ex-players do such meaningless tweets to stay relevant, otherwise why would any sane person would appreciate a meaningless win in dead rubber that too in T20 against C grade SA side?

Shoaib - Why you didnt critics Malik when we lost ODI series?

Why you didnt critics when he lost us T20 series?

Not saying to put players down in public. However no need for such statements after a consolation win. Our standards should be higher.

What's this celebration over winning a dead rubber after losing the series, aren't we ranked #1 anyways!
