Haris Sohail pulled out due to Covid and that gives Fawad Alam a chance to get in.

I'd play Fawad at 5 while Shafiq at 6 where Shafiq has done well mostly throughout.

Some bizarre choices in Sohail Khan recalled back after 2016 and the justification by Misbah is that he did well in that 2016 Eng tour and we need senior players with experience.

Imran Khan and Kashif Bhatti being the others.

Sarfraz should be considered for T20s maybe but Rizwan should be played in all 3 tests regardless of how he performs at least should be getting all the tests.

I don't know why these are there Sohail Khan, Usman Shinwari, Whab Riaz, Imran Khan and Kashif Bhatti.
Fawad is there but I doubt he will play any games. Excuse for not playing is to have new players but still picking Sohail Khan, Usman Shinwari, Whab Riaz, Imran Khan.

There was no need for Sarfraz. Rohail Nazir should have been the backup for Rizwan. Sarfraz's selection is unjustified.

What about the test bowling overs?

Who would you bowl first and for how many overs? When would you bring the spinner on? How many overs?

Wahab Riaz's selection is baffling too. As long as Misbah is in charge, no hope for a revolutionary turn around.

What kind of line and length should the opening bowlers target?

Also will Naseem and Shaheen bowl 2 overs each if Yasir is going to bowl 9 overs? Also will Yasir bowl 9 in one go or will it be in 2 spells?

What if they don't get bowled out after tea time, who will you bowl then? Would you take the new ball?

Haris Sohail is not in the squad? Who will bowl in his place then?

Opening bowlers should bowl up to the batsmen as much as possible. I know getting your length right straightaway is difficult. You would start on slightly back of the length that good length and give couple of drive me balls in between to make the batsmen greedy and go for that drive and edge it to keeper slips lbw bowled.
Shaheen and Abbas will bowl 9 overs with that new ball, then Yasir Shah will come into the attack in 10th over and bowl till lunch break - this constitutes 9 overs from 10 till 26, Naseem Shah will bowl 4 overs from other end and then Shaheen will come back for a return spell as he is the leader of this bowling attack.
Harris Sohail's overs will be bowled by Fawad Alam.

They are more likely to get out cheaply in first innings as these are English conditions where its difficult to bat when its cloudy. When sun comes out, it gets easier to bat... Sun usually comes out on 2nd, 3rd and 4th day and its a perfect time to bat at that time. In the middle part of the test match, its easier to bat. Its difficult to bat on day 1 early morning till afternoon and on day 5 with some assistance for spinners.

Agar jaldi out nahi hoti hai to phir 1st innings lambi hogi aur 2nd innings short. England is bound to collapse in one of the two innings either 1st or the 2nd.

Sohail Khan under the list of fast bowlers? LOL

Saeed Ajmal bowls faster than him.

I think Sohail Khan is one of the worst and laughable bowlers Pakistan has ever produced.

The scream he yelps out at releasing the bowl and the arrogance in his attitude, backed up by 115 speed? LOL.

He knows the art of picking wickets. He is very old style just like Waqar Younus.

Hopefully your are feeling well. No one in their right state of mind will compare Sohail Khan to Waqar Younus.

He already compared Sehwag with Misbah, believing that both are the identical kind of batsmen.

    So I am not surprised.

Sohail Khan in his jawani was like Waqar Younus. Right now, he seems like Waqar Younus at the end of his career, who had lost a lot of pace but still clever enough to work out batsmen with his intellect...
