Please keep Akmals & Hafeez far far away from Test side at least.

There's a reason they've called up Salahuddin to the side...

Salauddin should play some games with Younis in this series to gain some valuable experience in the middle.

    3. Babar,
    4. ?
    5. Asad
    6. Sarfraz

Still better than Ahmed Shahzad and Kamran has become Sachin Tendulkar in recent times in the domestic cricket if you follow domestic cricket!

Did you just mention Kamran and Sachin Tendulkar in the same statement ?

And Shehzad is actually better in tests

Ahmed Shahzad is one of the openers we have and Kamran Akmal has actually become one of the senior experienced players and he always had talent with the bat in hand I always believe!!

I am not a fan of sifarish. Kamran and Shahzad got 1000+ runs in the domestic last season and were the highest rungetters in respective tournaments including psl, pakistan cup etc

Just got a headache looking at Kami and Hafeez' names in your lineup.

    You're a true visionary @Shahzad.Firdous

Pakistan's test team would soon be going the SL way when Sanga and Jaya retired and still they're struggling.

Won't be surprised to see Pakistan slipping down the rankings by a few notches either, it's going to be really tough for whoever steps in to replace these two.

My gut feeling is that Hafeez will be recalled now into the test team and given every opportunity now to cement his place as the team's senior batsman, probably at one down or 4 (whatever he prefers, after all he's a champion batsman).

And while Hafeez is still only his 30s and can hang around for another 5 years at the team's 'senior most' batsman in all forms, in the mean time his ideal long term replacement Shan Masood will be groomed and backed failure after failure, and by then will be ready to carry on the tradition of being a 'specialist' senior batsman, ie. one who gets selected because he is a senior, not because he is expected to score runs.

I think Asad Shafiq will take that No. 5 position and we will groom Umar Akmal or Usman Salahudin at that No. 6 position!

It wouldn't surprise me if by the end of the year, this is Pakistan's first choice test XI:

    Shan Masood
    Salman Butt
    Azhar Ali
    Mohammed Hafeez (Captain)
    Asad Shafiq
    Khurram Manzoor / Iftikhar Ahmed
    Kamran Akmal (WK)
    Wahab Riaz
    Mohammed Amir
    Rahat Ali
    Zulfiqar Babar

I'm thinking they will go with something like

    Shehzad
    Azhar
    Babar
    Haris
    Salahuddin
    Shafiq
    Sarfraz

As the Top 7. They really don't rate Fawad...

Azhar will bat at No. 1, Shafiq at 5 and Salahudin at 6!
Rest of the places to be taken up by Kamran Akmal 2, Babar Azam 3, Hafeez 4.
    Sarfraz 7.

First I was half convinced that I should read this thread, because Sir Firdous has opened it, but for the sake of fun I jumped in. However, totally stopped reading it then moment I saw Kamra and Hackfeez in the line up. For an instance I was confused that, is it ODI squad or Test.

I disliked his lineup once, cuz I don't have option or power to do it more than once.
