Pakistan finish the ODI Series off in style. Sri Lanka were thumped today.
The game was all over in 46.4 overs. Usman Khan ripped them to shreds and then the batsmen knocked off the runs with ease.

Probably one of the easiest series wins over Sri Lanka in recent times. They are a side in transition. 3rd whitewash they have suffered in 2017.
Cant take away how Pakistan played though. Some new names in the mix.

Can't say if they are in transition when the only way they are currently going is downhill in LOIs.

We can give them some leverage that some of their key players were injured for this series, but still the management and the team selections and even the team morale looked really bad.

Through the series, they went from being bad to worst and today it looked like they don't have an idea what are they suppose to do.

Good achievement but the loss in test matches still stings. Hopefully that isn't forgotten due to the elation at the one day victory.

This was a very big win and fine job by the team. Yes it was a SL team which is in a bit of a rut however I can't remember the last time Pakistan played so consistently in ODI's.

Its very unlike Pakistan team to whitewash a team. Usually they take the foot off the gas in few games of a series even if they win overall.

Heck they have such a bad record in UAE that even winning against this SL side seems like a miracle

Sarfraz Ahmed credits bowlers following 5-0 series whitewash

Pakistan continued their domination over Sri Lanka, as they registered another convincing nine-wicket win in the fifth and final ODI at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium on Monday. Pakistan, therefore, registered a 5-0 whitewash over the Lankans. Meanwhile, following the match, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was all praises for his bowlers. It was Pakistan’s new fast-bowling sensation Usman Khan who wreaked havoc on the Lankan batsmen in the fifth ODI, claiming a five-for while this also was Pakistan’s ninth consecutive ODI win following the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title triumph

      • This was Pakistan's ninth consecutive ODI win following the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title win
“I am very happy because when you give an opportunity to someone and he performs, its great. Usman finished the match in the first five overs. We’re going from strength to strength, we have lots of options. I want our batting to perform more, if we score 270-280, our bowling is strong to defend that. We did not have Mohammad Aamer due to injury but Usman filled that gap and throughout this series we did well with the ball and this is a great sign for us,” said Sarfraz in the post-match presentation ceremony, as reported by AFP.

Apart from Sarfraz, Sri Lankan skipper Upul Tharanga too credited the Pakistan bowlers for their splendid show. “Throughout the series we did not have answer to Pakistan’s bowling as they were outstanding. We’re not playing to our strengths, to our capability. We didn’t score 200 three times. Couldn’t handle the pressure, has no answers to Usman’s first spell. They were straight, always trying to get wickets [Pakistan's bowlers],” he said.
