Finally, some Pakistani cricket to look forward to Alhumdullilah :)

The team in the OP - dear I say it - actually looks pretty decent alhumdullilah. The batting looks decent with the likes of Rizwan also displaying promising performances in the first warm up game.

Really excited to see Shaheen and Naseem in English conditions inshAllah and back up by Sohail and Yasir

So you'd go for Sohail over Abbas?

    Excited for this series!

Please don’t make the mistake of picking Sohail over Abbas.

Yup for me it would be Sohail Khan over Abbas.

Sohail has a short but very successful Test career in England, having picked up 13 wickets in 2 Test matches and he also picked up 2 5-wicket hauls in both Warm-Up matches which suggest he is in good rhythm. In my mind, you have to go for Sohail over Abbas in the 1st Test.

There could be an argument to go for Abbas, Shaheen and Sohail as the bowling attack, but personally I would like to see Naseem with a bit of extra pace.

Sorry but Sohail Khan does not make it to a local galli mohalla type team.
The scream he yelps at delivering the ball, makes you think he may clocking at 190 or something but he hardly touches 120.
And his big ego and attitude? He thinks he knows it all and he has figured it all out. Any coaching suggestion or opening up to the concept of improving, is a direct hit on his ego.
He has fits on all the team and seems like he is ready for a quarrel. I think he considers himself as the next Dennis Lillee or something.

No swing, no pace, no bouncer, no variety .... just too much narcissism. Aik dum fazool, ghattiya and a total third class of a bowler.

If he is picking up wickets - in particular, more wickets than other bowlers in the squad - he deserves to be in the team :)

There is no way Sohail gets a place instead of Abbas - accuracy is also important - Abbas is a master in that regard.

Yup I agree - accuracy is important and Abbas is more accurate than Sohail.

Personally I think its quite a good problem to have. Out of Abbas, Sohail, Shaheen and, Naseem I will be happy for any 3 to get a game. Abbas also has a good record in England, however, its difficult to ignore Sohail when he has just picked up 2 5-wicket hauls in both warm-up matches and has an impressive record in England.

Sohail has fitness issues - the man starts huffing & puffing after a couple of deliiveries like he has just ran a marathon - rather hypocritical from Misbah to select someone with poor fitness.

Definitely go with Abbas, Shaheen and Naseem. This is a must. Sohail can come in as 4th pacer if needed.

Batting order seems fine from OP

It would be a tragedy if Sohail is selected over Abbas.

Going with 5 bowlers is not a good idea I think.

It is like a web... just like Champions Trophy 2017... they have made a tactical and right move going in with 5 bowlers... 5 bowlers se phele England ki batting ko squeeze kareinge phir next 2 tests mein extra batsman Fawad Alam ko daal kar lamba score lagayeinge aur phir England ki batting ko under pressure laayeinge... they dont want England batting to get away first up... exactly what they did to Indians in Champions Trophy 2017..
