Just what Pakistan fans have been crying out for so long, especially against the minnows. A clinical performance and great to see a 200+ opening partnership despite it being against Zimbabwe. . Onwards to the final ODI where hopefully we can seal the series with a 3-0 whitewash and then onto the T20 series to conclude the tour.

Also what a brilliant hundred from Mohammad Hafeez who has become a key player for Pakistan. His 139* off 147 balls, 13 fours, 1 six was his highest score for Pakistan in ODIs.

    http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/eng...s;type=batting

Averages 41.16 in ODIs since making his comeback last September against England. Tremendous turnaround, he went back to domestic cricket, worked hard on his game and is a much-improved player as his stats as shown, sure his overall stats are not great but you can see the vast improvement he has made since his return. A key player for us, adds balance to the side and is a useful bowling option. Our premier all-rounder right now. He has managed to solve one part of our opening dilemma. We now just need someone to partner him at the top of the order.

Congratulations everyone ! We should look to rotate the squad, rest a few players and bring in some youngsters for the 3rd ODI now we have sealed the series.

Congrats to all Pakistani brothers & sisters for this emphatic win. Hafeez is a vastly improved player but in ODIs not in Tests. He should be just selected in ODIs and not in Tests. Our selectors should pick horses for the courses. If you look at Hafeez's record after his comeback in the middle of 2010, he had done amazingly well in ODIs but in Tests he has done worse than his previous stint. Just one century in 7 Tests and that also in this series.

Anyways he is a very good ODI player. He should be thankful to Afridi who brought him back and showed a great confidence in him.

Edging toward 250! But getting on up soon.

In other news, Hafeez has won the MoM award in all three formats in Zimbo games...rare achievement I must say. Pakistan win 6-0 on tour! Looks like good figures!
