Amir, 23, equalled the record for the most dot balls in a Twenty20 international match during Pakistan’s nervy win over the United Arab Emirates on Monday.

The quick bowled a remarkable 21 dot balls on his way to figures of 2-6 as Pakistan held UAE to 6-129 in the Asia Cup in Bangladesh.

Hong Kong’s Aizaz Khan is the only player to have conceded less runs off four overs in a T20 international. Aizaz took 2-4 against Nepal in 2014.

Amir conceded his first run off his second ball and then bowled 11 dots before conceding his second. In between those two runs he bowled Muhammad Kaleem during a wicket maiden second over.

He signed off with the wicket of Muhammad Usman, bowling him with his final delivery. Usman was the only player to pick up a boundary off Amir.

Shahid Afridi has taken 95 wickets and needs 5 more to become the first player to achieve the 100 wickets milestone, and also achieve the 1,000 runs/100 wickets milestone.

Shahid Afridi surpasses Lasith Malinga to become leading wicket-taker in World T20s

Shahid Afridi is now the highest wicket-taker in World T20s surpassing Lasith Malinga during World T20 2016 match against New Zealand at Mohali. Afridi finished with 2 for 40 in his four overs against New Zealand, in a match Pakistan lost by 22 runs. With this loss Pakistan have crashed out of the tournament. They will play Australia in a few day’s match in their last group match, but there is no guarantee that a win will enable them qualify for the semi-final. If they beat Australia, they will have to depend the results of other matches in their group to go their way. The match against Australia could be Afridi’s last match in international cricket

    Shahid Afridi - 33 matches 39 wickets
    SL Malinga - 31 matches 38 wickets
    Saeed Ajmal - 23 matches 36 wickets
    BAW Mendis - 21 matches 35 wickets
    Umar Gul - 24 matches 35 wickets

4-4 Pakistan's win-loss record in Tests against England at Lord's; only Australia, with a 15-7 record, have done better here against England. This win, though, was Pakistan's first at Lord's since 1996; in four Tests here between 2001 and 2010, they lost three times - twice to England and once to Australia.

10 Wickets for Yasir Shah, his first ten-wicket haul in Tests; his previous best was 9 for 155, against Sri Lanka in Galle last year.

8 The previous record for most wickets by a Pakistan bowler in a Lord's Test: Waqar Younis took 8 for 154 in 1996, which was also the last time Pakistan won a Test here. Yasir's haul is also the second best by an overseas spinner at Lord's, and only the seventh instance of a ten-for by any spinner here. The previous such instance was way back in 1974, when Derek Underwood took 13 for 71 against Pakistan.

86 Wickets for Yasir after 13 Tests, the most by any bowler at this stage of his career. The next best is Australia's Charlie Turner, a right-arm fast bowler who played in the 1880s and 1890s, who had 81 wickets after 13.

21 Instances of two bowlers taking a ten-for in the same Test - Yasir and Chris Woakes both achieved the feat here. The last such instance was in 2008, in a Test between Sri Lanka and India in Galle.

    # In 132 years of Test cricket at Lord’s, only two leg-spinners have claimed a ten-wicket haul. First was Doug Wright’s 10/175 vs SA in 1947, second is Shah against England in 2016

    # Yasir Shah’s 10 wickets are the most by an Asian bowler at Lord’s in a single Test match

    # After 13 Tests, Shah has taken 86 wickets. Second to him is Mohammad Asif with 68 scalps for Pakistan

    # Out of 43 Tests he has captained the country in, Misbah has managed to win 21 of those. His win percentage of 48.84 is much better than Imran Khan’s 14 wins out of 48 Tests

    # In the most wickets taken by an overseas spinner at Lord’s, Shah is second on the list but ahead of Shane Warne who took 8/159 in 1993

    Left-arm (almost) everything
From No. 7 down, Pakistan's team-sheet for the match listed the following names: Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Amir, Rumman Raees. Two left-arm spinners, three left-arm seamers. But just when you thought Pakistan would achieve the first of completing an entire T20I innings with only left-arm bowlers, that man Shoaib Malik ruined everything, sending down his shuffling right-arm offbreaks in the eighth and tenth overs of West Indies' innings.

2 Batsmen to score centuries in each match of a three-match ODI series. Babar Azam became the second cricketer to achieve this after South Africa's Quinton De Kock achieved the feat against India in 2013-14. Azam also surpassed de Kock's record of most runs in a three-match bilateral series.

8 Batsmen who have scored three or more centuries in consecutive ODI innings. Azam became the eighth batsman overall and third from from Pakistan, after Zaheer Abbas and Saeed Anwar, to achieve this feat. Kumar Sangakkara is the only player to hit four consecutive ODI centuries.

2 Number of times Pakistan have whitewashed a series of three or more matches in UAE - both against West Indies. Before this, they had done the same in 2008-09.

0 Players to have made their career's first three hundreds in successive innings before Azam. For Pakistan, Inzamam-ul-Haq is the only other player to bring up his first two centuries in consecutive innings.

349 Previous highest run-aggregate by a Pakistan batsman in any three consecutive ODI innings, by Saeed Anwar in 1993-94. He made 107, 131 and 111 in successive innings. Azam overtook his tally by scoring 360 runs in three innings - 120, 123 and 117. The record for most runs by a batsman in three consecutive innings is 411, by Rohit Sharma (264, 9, 138).

3 Centuries by Azhar Ali - most by a Pakistan captain in ODIs. He went past Inzamam and Shahid Afridi, who made two centuries as captains in 77 and 34 innings respectively as compared to Azhar, who has batted in 28 innings so far.

2013 Last time Pakistan put up two 300-plus totals in any ODI series or tournament, against Sri Lanka in UAE in a five-match series. In this series, they've made scores of 284, 337 and 308. This was only the ninth such series for Pakistan.

He now has 886 runs, needing another 114 runs in next two innings to become the quickest player to 1000 ODI runs.

2 Pakistan left-arm bowlers who have taken 100 or more ODI wickets. Wahab Riaz became the second to reach the milestone in this match. Wasim Akram (502 wickets) was the first to do so.

Pakistan batsman Babar Azam’s third One-Day International century in third ODI against West Indies helped him become only seventh batsman to register three consecutive ODI centuries or more and also helped him become the leading run-scorer in a 3-match ODI series.

By registering his third consecutive ODI century, Babar Azam went past Quinton de Kock's record of 342 runs, which until today was the most runs scored by a batsman in a 3-match ODI series. The South African keeper managed the feat against India in 2013 while Babar Azam went past him with three successive centuries against West Indies.

Before the start of the three-match ODI series against West Indies, the 21-year-old didn’t have a single ODI century to his name. But in the first two games, he corrected that by scoring back-to-back centuries at Sharjah. His scores of 120 and 123 helped Pakistan take a 2-0 lead in the series.

In the third ODI, he made history by becoming the third Pakistani batsman to score three ODI centuries in a row, after Zaheer Abbas and Saeed Anwar. He eventually finished with 117 and departed for the final time in the series, having amassed 360 runs. Overall, only Kumar Sangakkara with four successive centuries has more consecutive ODI centuries.

Only five players have ever managed to score more than 300 in a 3-match ODI series and all of those have come after 2010. In the list of top five best series aggregates from a three-match ODI series, players from five different countries make an appearance.

By scoring a century in all three matches of an ODI series, he joined de Kock as the only batsmen to have scored a century in every match of an ODI series. He also overtook the Proteas wicketkeeper’s record of 342 against India, which had stood for three years before Azam broke it in the third ODI.

Although 360 runs is an incredible feat in a three-match series, it is far below the record in an ODI series between two teams, which stands at 491. In fact, Azam’s tally of runs has been bettered 30 times in an ODI series between two teams.

Only four times has a Pakistan batsman scored more than Azam’s tally of 360 runs in an ODI series featuring two teams. Salman Butt’s tally fo 451 runs against Bangladesh in a five-match ODI series is the highest by a Pakistan batsman in a bilateral ODI series.

Here is the list of most runs in a 3-match ODI series.

Misbah-ul-Haq has became the most-capped Test captain for Pakistan beating the recording of Imran Khan.

This was the 49th time in a Test match with Misbah as the captain as it faced the West Indies in Sharjah.

Imran Khan had captained Pakistan in 48 Test matches between 1982 and 1992 winning 14 and losing 8, while 26 matches were drawn.

Javed Mianded captained the country in 34 matches of which Pakistan won 14, lost 6 and draw 14 matches.

The 42-year-old Misbah was appointed captain in 2010. He is also the most successful Test captain as under him Pakistan have won 24 matches, lost 13 and drawn 11 matches.

Pakistan was ranked sixth when he received the captaincy but managed to reach the top of the ranking earlier this year until they lost the position to India.

The most-capped captain in the world is former South African cricketer Graeme Smith who led in 109 matches from 2003 to 2014.
