Pakistan's Tour to Zimbabwe - (Latest updates on schedule, squad rumours)

Expected to be between Aug 22 to Sep 17

2 tests - 3 ODI's - 1 T2o

What I've heard is that Zimbabwe have finalised everything, but just waiting for a green signal from PCB. If nothing is announced in the next 5 days then don't expect it to happen.

 

WOuld like to see Azhar Ali leading the side.

 

We could see Hafeez captaining other formats too. Depends on how much this clashes with CLT20

 

What's with the infatuation with 2 tests for Pakistan? Been going on for years where most of the others play 3 if there is any.

May aswell just play 3 ODI's and 3 T20's.

For the team, would be nice to rest out Misbah,Ajmal for the tour and bring in Khurram Manzoor, Usman Salahuddin and Azeem Ghumman for tests.

Azhar Ali as vc would be nice as Hafeez won't be rested or he won't let that happen and will lead in all 3 formats.

Hafeez will captain all 3 forms if there's no Misbah.

 

Time to rest the old timers and bring in the new like India just did againstthe same opposition!

 

If the schedule isn't announced by Tuesday, I don't see the tour happening.

 

I suspect a Cancellation is in the offering!

First the Ajmal problem, then Misbah and then Hafeez.

 

lets hope the tour doesn't happen.. Or else Faisalabad wont have asad Ali and Ehsan ADil for the champions league.....

An international series , regardless of who it is against holds much more value than some glorified domestic league.

 

We are the unpredictable team; we can win we can loose when ever we feel like.

 

Adil is dropped from the national team anyway. And you could let Asad Ali play the CLT20. Two players doesn't mean you scrap a tour. And not to mention, today these two are nobodys in Pakistan cricket.

I think Haris, Amin, Babar and others need more chances. Maqsood and other youngsters. Ect.

We tied a match against a minor then we won the other one where we were in no position winning it but thanks to Kamran Akmal and Riaz for their match winning efforts. :clap

Junaid and Irfan need to be playing. Irfan should be rested from tests if there are any but either wau these two need to play. And it's not about how you feel about Zim tour. It ain't got anything to do with you, it's got to do with giving chances to youngsters

 

Pakistan should spare this Zimbabwe series to give youngsters a chance.

Where did I say we need him back, I just appreciated his efforts not saying he should comeback. I think you need to learn how to read and interpret.

In all honesty it would be good if the tour does go ahead especially for the youngsters who need to be given exposure and utilised properly for the future as this tour should give them a well needed go at the international level.

Only if the PCB would use some brains and send a handful of deserving youngsters with 2-3 senior players at most!

I'd like to see Sohaib Maqsood, Afaq Raheem, Khurram Manzoor, Yasir Shah, Fawad Alam given a look in for this series!

 

For Umar Akmal, Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shehzad,Wahab Riaz, Hafeez, Afridi, Asad Shafiq Zimbabwe tour is a Must. They need to have a long run to learn how to be match winners. Batsmen need runs and Zimbabwe can provide that. Wahab Riaz needs to experiment his tricks too.
