We all know this current team is bad but how bad? Made me wonder. So I did following analysis.

    Pakistan just got done playing its 356th test match ast Oval. So, I complied the results of every 20-test-interval since our 1st test. The way you would read following table is e.g. the 1st row;
At the end of 20 test where the start date of 1st of the 20 test is 16-Oct-1952 and the start date of 20th test is 5-Feb-1958, Pakistan played 20 test, winning 5, losing 4 and drawing 11.

    Code:
[B]End of From Date To Date Tests	Won Lost Drawn[/B]
     20	16 Oct	1952	to 5	Feb 1958 20 5	4	11
     40	26 Feb	1958	to 5	Jul 1962 20 3	9 8
     60	26 Jul	1962	to 3	Jun 1971 20 2	4	14
     80	17 Jun	1971	to 24	Dec 1976 20 3	4	13
    100 1 Jan	1977	to 10	Mar 1979 20 6	5 9
    120	24 Mar	1979	to 22	Mar 1982 20 4	6	10
    140	29 Jul	1982	to 2	Jan 1984 20 7	4 9
    160 2 Mar	1984	to 7	Nov 1986 20 7	4 8
    180	20 Nov	1986	to 7	Oct 1988 20 5	1	14
    200 3 Feb	1989	to 4	Jun 1992 20 5	2	12
    220	18 Jun	1992	to 1	Nov 1994 20	10	4 5
    240	19 Jan	1995	to 26	Apr 1997 20 9	7 4
    260 6 Oct	1997	to 16	Feb 1999 20 7	5 7
    280 4 Mar	1999	to 27	Mar 2001 20 5	8 7
    300	17 May	2001	to 3	Sep 2003 20	12	7 0
    320	17 Oct	2003	to 29	Nov 2005 20 8	8 4
    340	13 Jan	2006	to 8	Dec 2007 20 5	7 8
    356	21 Feb	2009	to 18	Aug 2010 16 3	9 4
Now lets compare last 16 tests with other results in the past. As you can see above we have never lost more than 9 tests in a period of 20 tests. So far, we have lost 9 test in just last 16 tests. If we do not win another test in next 4 test, we would qalify for 2nd lowest number of wins (3) in a 20 test period.

Below, I have calculated Win/Loss Ratio, Win%, Lost%, Drawn%. As you can see, the last 16 tests has the worst Win/Loss Ratio (.333) and worst Lost% (56.25%).

    Code:
    [B]End of From Date To Date W/L Ratio Win% Lost% Draw%[/B]
    355	21 Feb	2009 to 6	Aug 2010 0.333 [B] 18.75%[/B] 56.25% 25.00%
    40	26 Feb	1958	to 5	Jul 1962 0.333 15.00% 45.00% 40.00%
    60	26 Jul	1962	to 3	Jun 1971 0.500 10.00% 20.00% 70.00%
    280 4 Mar	1999	to 27	Mar 2001 0.625 25.00% 40.00% 35.00%
    120	24 Mar	1979	to 22	Mar 1982 0.667 20.00% 30.00% 50.00%
    340	13 Jan	2006	to 8	Dec 2007 0.714 25.00% 35.00% 40.00%
    80	17 Jun	1971	to 24	Dec 1976 0.750 15.00% 20.00% 65.00%
    320	17 Oct	2003	to 29	Nov 2005 1.000 40.00% 40.00% 20.00%
    100 1 Jan	1977	to 10	Mar 1979 1.200 30.00% 25.00% 45.00%
    20	16 Oct	1952	to 5	Feb 1958 1.250 25.00% 20.00% 55.00%
    240	19 Jan	1995	to 26	Apr 1997 1.286 45.00% 35.00% 20.00%
    260 6 Oct	1997	to 16	Feb 1999 1.400 35.00% 25.00% 35.00%
    300	17 May	2001	to 3	Sep 2003 1.714 60.00% 35.00% 0.00%
    140	29 Jul	1982	to 2	Jan 1984 1.750 35.00% 20.00% 45.00%
    160 2 Mar	1984	to 7	Nov 1986 1.750 35.00% 20.00% 40.00%
    200 3 Feb	1989	to 4	Jun 1992 2.500 25.00% 10.00% 60.00%
    220	18 Jun	1992	to 1	Nov 1994 2.500 50.00% 20.00% 25.00%
    180	20 Nov	1986	to 7	Oct 1988 5.000 25.00% 5.00% 70.00%
Conclusion: Since 21 Feb 2009, we have one of the worst streak of wins and losses....specially if you exclude recent Oval Test.

Proves this team is the weakest because of corruption and neputism in selection. Pathetic management by Ijaz Butt and his cronies has brought Pakistan cricket to its darkest ages.

The stats for the last 15 test would have been worse, had we not won the Oval test by dumping Shoaib "PPP-sifarshi" Mirza and playing Mohammad Yousaf.

We need to improve our Test form.

But fairly pleased with the way things are going so far in England.Okay, the first Two tests vs Eng hasnt gone our way,but we needed the one experienced player,i.e Moyo just to stabilize things so we have a good mix of youth and experience.

With this almost 'noob' team where nearly everyone in the side havent played Test cricket in England before and the fact that we had two debutants in our batting lineup,we have done very well and gave a good account of ourselves.

Ok,if only 'so-and-so' were playing and all that BS.....This has turned out to be a real confidence boost to the youngsters and a real learning curve for the guys for the future, things can only get better.

Winning 2 Tests against strong Aus and Eng teams is a big deal with the inexperienced team we have.Fans need to be a bit grateful.
