Massive damages awarded against Pakistan, which is a continued trend from the past. So who is at fault for this??

People have spoken to in the legal profession have told me that Pakistan has had more judgements against it than any other country. Who is arranging these contracts, that are then broken, and defended by inept judges??

These are massive, massive amounts that the country cannot afford to pay. From the article it suggests there is going to be a delaying tactic (in my opinion) appeal which might last a few years and buy some time.

its a total disgrace. Are these the fruits of economic and political stability that we should have maintained?

You don't have the mercury needed to extract the gold.

California gold rush was successful becos California also had plenty of mercury. Pretty much made Europe irrelevant for USA economy

nightmare to ship due to toxicity issues. and knowing you need it for gold, they will jack up the price of mercury to a painful point.
