Saeed Anwar was also a strokemaker when he arrived on the scene and Fakhar is also!! If he gets his game worked upon by a good batting coach he can become next Saeed Anwar, he has the talent and [email protected]@

You don't fix the basics at international level. Saeed Anwar had a problem with his shot selection , that's something that can be fixed.

Fakhar on the other hand doesn't handle anything outside the offsrjmp well , that cannot be fixedat the international level

A good batting coach preferably a local great batsman like Saeed himself or Inzi or Javed need to work with him!!

Fakhar doesn't have a proper technique , it's okay for him being a simple stop gap. Just don't degrade Saeed Anwar who thrived in the bowling dominated decade that was the 90s

Just because someone is a parch doesn't mean he isn't deserving of his spot. He might be the best opener for Pakistan in the last 10-15 years. Who's been better than him in the last 15 years. I'll wait.

Imam may have a strange technique but for him it works but his technique is more suited to test cricket!! He can be a top player in test cricket but we will continue to lose if he keeps on playing odi cricket!!

I'll just say persona non grata Salman butt. He had everything that was needed to be a top opener. Pity that he ****ed his career off

Technique or not but he is more useful than Fakhar in limited overs cricket whereas Imam is a better test batsman!! If someone can fix Fakhars technique, then he can be a gold player in all formats!!

Lol. Check Salman’s average and Imam’s. I think Imam’s might be double.

I would say Imam may be related to Inzamam but he deserves to be in Pakistan team in my opinion~~ He has performance at both international level as well as in domestic and has come from a proper channel. Unlike Faisal Iqbal who was actual parchi, Imam is not a parchi!!

Agar Azhar Ali available hota to us se best option hi koi nahi tha CT mein Azhar played a very crucial role!! Azhar available nahi tha to Imam was an option but ultimately he was always gona lose us world cup cus he has a limited game so I would have maybe gone with Imam in this World Cup but after the world cup i would make a change and get Abid Ali in the team and Ahmed Shahzad as backup a bit of right hand left hand combination. Abid will partner Fakhar after the WC!!
Azhar Ali se best option koi nahi tha Azhar ko jab team se unnecessarily drop kar diya gaya over couple of bad performances to Azhar ke pass koi raasta nahi bacha apni izat bachane ke liye us ne odi cricket se retirement de di!! Azhar Fakhar combo was the difference between CT and WC!!

Check Fakhar performance in CT and compare it to his performance in WC

Fakhar is low in confidence and has issues on his technique

Fakhar ko doosre end se Azhar Ali khila raha tha! Azhar was unsung hero of CT win!! Azhar ka role Fakhar ki innings mein buhat important tha when he was struggling against bhumra!! Arthur unnecessarily tampered with winning combination and disturbed the entire winning combination by getting Azhar dropped and getting Imam in his place!! Eik do failures ki waja se you dont need to disturb what has been a winning combination for you!! A player can have couple of bad games but if you unnecessarily disturb players who have delivered results for you then you suffer like we have now in this WC!! Azhar was the difference between a win and a loss here!! CT mein Fakhar ka partner Azhar tha aur WC mein Imam! Azhar was miles better than Imam as far as I am concerned!! Arthur unnecessarily players ko disturb kar raha tha by putting pressure on them and chopping and changing combination unnecessarily!! When something is working for you, you dont need to change it all too [email protected]

Hopefully, Shaheed Shah will get the Players of the Match award otherwise if Imam gets it, he will bring it with him in every interview, every talk show and every press conference and in every selfie.

Azhar retired himself so let’s move on. We need to build our side around Babar, Imam, Haris, shadab, Amir, wahab and shaheen.

He is one of the best openers we have in the country so he deserves a spot but going forward he needs to work on his strike rate. Fakhar needs to go back to domestic and work on his technique. Compared to the days of Imran Farhat etc these guys are a lot better so we should give them some leeway for now.

^ If Fakhar is one of the best openers we have in Pakistan, then that is really worrying bcos he’s an AWFUL cricketer.

Imam isn’t good enough either. Too one-sided batsmen that has cost us too many times bcos he starts slows and then throws his wicket away in silly ways. Imam can only play one way, which is slow.

In a pointless game. He cost us the game against Australia, a game that actually mattered.

Arthur was constantly chopping and changing and not letting Azhar and anybody else settle right after CT win!! Arthur was demanding more and more from his players whereas he should be asking as per the capablities of players!! Azhar had played a crucial role in that CT win and he was performing according to his ability. Asking for too much results in what happened in this WC,. You are left with poorer options like Imam when you force Azhar to retire from odi cricket!!
Arthur did this with Sohail Khan as well and many others!!

Pointless game? It wasn’t a pointless game for Pakistan - they wanted the win.

He didn’t cost anything against Australia, the batting couldn’t keep it together. Why not blame hafeez and Babar too for throwing their wickets away.

You are being selective out of our hatred for Imam, something that I cannot understand. Blind hatred always comes back to bite you in the ass - look at the poster who’s been whining about Amir for a year and he was the best bowler for us in the WC.
