Rising cases of Suicide

    As per statistical analysis shown in the following link, its seems very obvious that suicide rate in on the rise around the world.

    In most of the countries, % of men committing suicide is much higher compared to women. However, India has the highest women suicide percentage. And in Pakistan its the same for both genders.


    Question is, why this trend is on the rise and is there anything, which can be done to stop it (or bring it down)?

    Lot of people suffer from depression, stress and anxiety.

    am I looking at this wrong, the link shows rates in 2016, but where does it show that suicide rates are increasing?
