I've never been more serious in my life
is baber azam as gud as graeme smith?
Muhammad Hafeez (c)
Umar Gul (last matches before retirement)
Saeed Ajmal (also last matches)
What I'd like:
Muhammad Hafeez (c)
Adnan Akmal/Sarfraz Ahmed +
Shahid Afridi (If not then Ehsan Adil)
Reserves: Haris Sohail - Babar Azam - Atif Maqbool - Anwar Ali - Muhammad Irfan/Sadaf Hussain
I think most of the players will be available for 2015 - Hafeez, Kami, Malik, Farhat, Taufeeq and even Younis. Its just a case of picking the right ones. The only ones whom I can think will retire include Misbah, Afridi and probably Ajmal.
Nasir, Shehzad, Shafiq, Umar, Amin/Sohail, Hafeez, WK, Gul, Riaz, Junaid, Hasan
Even better if Umar Akmal takes the gloves permenantly in coloured clothing, this way there may be a case of an extra batsman or Hammad Azam in the side.
I would like one solid fast bowling allrounder. Let it be Hammad Azam, Ehsan Adil, Anwar Ali, or someone else.
None of them are solid. Solid one's don't come often.
Thats why we need to start grooming them. Even young U-19 allrounder Mohammed Nawaz(spin allrounder)
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst
No freaking way' The way Smith operates at the crease with a massive gap it just looks like he's going to be clean bowled all the time, But a great like him found a way to persist with it and managed to score runs. There are only a few players in the world for whom it works for and Babar ain't even played International cricket yet to be even thought of too be as good as Smith. :fp
We've wasted 2 years on useless cricketers like Kmaran, Misbah, Malik, etc. Really don't see a solid lineup being put together by the tournament.
2011 was a very good chance to build team for WC as we mostly played minnows after 2011 WC but they persisted with Younis,Misbah,Cheema etc.
I remember Younis was mots in odi series against Zimbabwe... :fp
Some of Pakistan's "undroppables" in their last 15 ODIs.
I might be chastised for asking this but, will Aamer's ban be over by the time the 2015 WC starts? :ninja
They dropped Misbah before the WT20 and totally changed the squad. Why not just appoint someone else the captain now and make a new proper OdI Squad, Better now then never
I think a first round exit is on the cards if these guys are the best we have in 2 years.
You forgot YK the Captain after 2 years
He's available from September 2015.
2015 will bring back memories of '92. We did not have a strong squad back then as well. The only worry is that we don't have an Imran now.
I feel he will retire before 2015.
We have no Imran BUT we have Babar Azam
As the WC is in Aus i think we might need Taufeeq there as well although its odis but he can do well with a solid technique. Nasir Jamshed, Taufiq Umar, Azhar Ali, Farhat all as openers in the squad for me
As the WC is in Aus ill have following lineup and squad
Nasir Jamshed, Azhar Ali, Taufiq Umar, Imran Farhat (3 out of these 4)
3. Younus Khan
4. Asad Shafiq / Azhar Ali (whoever is in form)
6. Kamran Akmal
7. Hammad Azam
12. Wahab Riaz, 13. Rehman, 14. Umar Akmal, 15. Afridi
I doubt a 40-year-old Younus would be playing in 2015, especially in one dayers
only confirm players are;umar Akmal ,Junaid Khan ,Saeed Ajmal ,Muhammad Irfan,Nasir jamshed(if all fit), apart from these player the odi side is unbalance, any thing can change
Aus best odi 11 : Mark Waugh, Gilchrist, Ponting, Bevan, Steve Waugh (C), Symonds, Hayden, Warne, Lee, McGrath, Gellespie 12th man: Clarke
Aus best test 11: Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh, Symonds, Gilchrist, Warne, Lee, Gellespie, McGrath
Where's the Don?
Mark Waugh :lol
What are Symonds and Lee doing in the test squad? Haha.
Apna Shahzad.Firdous sab se alag hai
I stopped reading when I saw the first name of the ODI XI
symonds in test squad ?;/
ODI's: Adam Gilchrist (Wicketkeeper), Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting, Steve Waugh (Captain), Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Michael Bevan, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Craig McDermott and Glenn McGrath.
The tests one for me was really difficult because they've had such a fantastic test side over the years. Here's my pick though:
Justin Langer, Matthew Hayden, Don Bradman, Ricky Ponting, Steve Waugh, Allan Border (Captain), Adam Gilchrist (Wicketkeeper), Shane Warne, Bill O Reilly, Dennis Lillee and Glenn McGrath.
i have picked only from those i have seen play ie 90s and 00s
Symonds was a destructive player who used to bat at 6 he was a real beast... imagine Symonds walking in at 6 and Gilchrist at 7 gud luck to opposition u can replace him with Clarke though
thanks very much LOL
Just like Pak and india , Eng and Aus also have had a rivalry albiet much smaller than us as we have fought 3 wars against each other. here is combined Aus- Eng 11

3. Ricky Ponting
4. Mark Waugh
5. Steve Waugh (C)
8. Shane Warne
10. Mc Grath
