Tough luck for him and India. Good news for other teams.

Won't matter for them. They have big enough talent pool to choose from. Will just get in someone like Pant

That's tough, just hit a big 100 too

Never like to see a player go down injured

Hard-hitting batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of ICC World Cup 2019 for three weeks due to thumb fracture, Indian media reported.

He was hit on his left thumb during India’s match against Australia at The Oval on Sunday.

The X-ray reports Monday reveal that he has a fracture and will not be able to resume for the next three weeks.

Shikhar Dhawan will miss India's matches against New Zealand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, West Indies and England.

He scored century against the defending champions Australia but did not come out to field due to injury.

Australia’s Marcus Stoinis has been ruled out of Australia’s ICC World Cup game against Pakistan on Wednesday after picking up a side strain during Australia's inning against India on Saturday, subsequently making his participation in the remainder of the World Cup uncertain.

All-rounder Mitchell Marsh has also been included in Australia’s side as cover, while any official replacement has not yet been announced.

Would have been happier had It had been Kohli or Rohit instead of Dhawan, still its a big loss for india, also a golden opportunity for Pak.
