And he will be a huge liability at the world cup. He positions himself at the lower order and in setting a target that's where he will be expected to smash and unless all the bowlers in the world lost 50kph in their pace that's not gonna happen and in chasing he is expected to again pace the most crucial part of the chase. The finish and that can only happen if all teams apart from Pakistan have been banned from fielding more than 3 players in the last ten overs.

Those are as embarrassing as Hafeez's record against Steyn if not more

Horrendous numbers. This guy should have retired or kicked out years ago.

He is a senior player that we need in the middle order. Stats can say a lot but we cannot rely on Rizwan / Sohail

Malik can’t bat in England. It’s best if he uses his brain and starts practicing with the red dukes ball against someone like Amir or Abbas however Malik isn’t a try hard on top of this his mindset is very mediocre for a top level cricketer, no matter how good form he’s in you’ll never see him do well against better teams.

Forget about relying we are blessed to have Sohail and Rizwan and I’m not kidding about, you lot deserve the Asif Ali type players.

So I have heard this term a lot and seriously I am sick of it - that term is 'We need experience players'.

    My question is, what for?

How many times our senior's like Malik has bailed us out from trouble?

What is his contribution towards grooming players like Fakhar & Babar - absolute zilch, because I can only buy this 'experience crap' if younger players were to learn a thing or two from seniors, which is not the case.

How does his experience helps captain in difficult situation(s)? I have hardly seen him running to Sarfu in tough situation to give him advise.

So what in the world this 'experience' is good for is beyond me.

Lately there is another factor added by his fans like @KingOfDoosra

He knows how to win ICC Tournaments since he won a t20 wc and a champions trophy.

Sorry I missed it, but his input was nowhere in CT.

We won CT because of our bowling and not because of Malik.

What was his contribution in tough games, specially in final?

Malik indeed has a very poor record in England. Those stats are tailender worthy. Shocking for a front line batter.

However, we can only hope he has only last hurrah left in him. He will be gone after this WC along with Hafeez.

Lol, this means two things. Either you are a RAW agent or you have an agenda which favours Asif.

Can someone pull up our captain's stats post CT? Malik isn't the only one getting a free ride since the CT.

They are not comparable,Malik is a batter, while Sarf is a WK.Sarf has also been a better skipper lately. This poor team can have Sarf playing at 6 or 7 slot, but there can't be any place for Malik especially when he isn't even bowling.
