Was removed in later 2013 for his continuous poor form, wasn't selected for the t20 and Asia Cup. imo he's better than Sharjeel, I think he should be given a chance in the October Aussies series, he plays well against the aussies aswell.

Discuss and vote on the poll!

How about Jamshed getting his act straight and start performing in domestic cricket and regain form.

True although perhaps he could land a league cricket contract in England. Better than nothing.

He couldn't even score against trundlers in Domestic. Add to that, he says that he lost form because he lost weight and he's back to his old diet......

Oh, and he shifted because he didn't look good on TV.

Do we want this mentality in our team?

Not until he gets his mojo back. Needs to revert back to his aggressive style of play and abstrain from his tuk tuk style he adopted from budda misbah.

answer to the OP: not until he performs in domestic again.

The older Jamshed was fun to watch not this new hack of a batsman who tuk tuks to save his position int he team.

Let him regain form in domestic cricket and then of course. Despite his technique that wasn't the problem for Jamshed as his temperament was solid it was just the run of poor scores.

Got no doubt he'll be back!

Hafeez and Afridi are of same age.. at least in papers

Hafeez will be 35 after wC.. dont whether we should still continue with him after world cup.. and I think he will have a very poor world cup in those conditions which means he will be dropped automatically.

Hafeez sahib itni asani se jaane wali cheez nahi hain. He will play all formats till the 2017 Champions Trophy I think.

He won't be dropped, at least not from ODIs and T20s.

No. His fitness is questionable. Get fit or say bye bye. We need to present good example, not fatboy!

If he can average 40 at a SR of 80+ and take catches then I don't care about his fitness.

His average is going down day by day. When he first came to notice he seemed to be really clever with his batting, knows how to play prolonged innings but now can't find any reason why should I support him.

Ideally all of Afridi, Misbah, Hafeez and Ajmal(Well, he is perhaps gone anyway) should be cut loose from the ODI Team and then move forward to rebuild for 2019.

I think Afridi and Misbah will retire, don't think Hafeez will.

I think Misbah will carry on playing Tests and Afridi will definitely play T20s.

I can't find any reason to have Misbah,Afridi or Hafeez in the Odi team any more. The reason I supported Misbah that his performance may safe Pakistan from downfall but seeing them losing hopelessly to SL, I was wondering why does the team management go for some change. Misbah is more suited to the test team.
In the same way, Afridi and Hafeez should be in T20 teams cause there even if they come up with 20+ runs, their bowling variation may be effective.

Big surprise- Ajmal will play the WC15. He has renovated his bowling. Saqlain is hopeful of Ajmal's return too.

I'm not sure about Ajmal. Yeah, he has remodeled his action, but will it be effective? I'm not sure. They should take the players who can make a difference. If Ajmal still is good with his new action and better than others then take him on, if he is not, then don't.

I think he won't be bowling the doosra that much but will go for his regular off spin. The only problem with his new action is it will take long time to have control over the doosra.

Nope not yet to be honest. He has regressed to far and not till he has 2 solid seasons at domestic cricket where he works on his flaws, we can't and shouldn't bring him back.

Unfortuantely teams carefully exposed his off side game, Jamshed when he wasn't scoring freely or dot balls were piling up he'd use the clip/flick (whatever you want to call it) as a release shot, but during the SA tour they used to keep an extra fielder or 2 at leg so they'd stop that flick/clip and forced him to try playing on the offside hence why he preceeded to play slogs, nick the ball behind trying to drive etc.

Once your game is mixed up you start overthinking things like Jamshed did and then you can't even handle the things you were good at like the short ball, how many times did he get out hooking and pulling when he'd play it easily before.

He needs to rework on his game and then have 2 solid seasons then we can think about a recall.

LOL i think Irfan is our first choice pacer and he will be preferred over Junaid. Amir will be the 2nd choice and 3rd pacer has to be a rite armer plus we need 2 spinners i dont see Hafeez as a reliable 5th bowler who can give me overs at the death and powerplays and when i need wkts!!

Irfan will be 33 when the World Cup finishes, I doubt he will carry on playing. Even if he does play, the PCB will ask him to retire from ODI cricket so that he can focus for the T20 World Cup in 2016.
