Have a look at the following charts to see how players have progressed throughout their career on a match by match basis:

    Yasir Shah

    Shane Warne

    http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/en...emplate=results;type=allround;view=cumulative

    Murali

    Herath

    Ashwin

General trend I have noticed is that most of these guys averages started dropping significantly after their first 30-40 tests. One can only assume this is because they start to reach their peak or develop to their potential after this many tests.

Based on this I hope Yasir is soon to come in his peak years. With his age listed as 31/32 lets hope we have a spinner here who can stick around for another 6 years or so at least. Would be interesting to see how he goes. Maybe go past Kaneria as leading wicket taking spinner?

One thing I do know is that he is working on his googly so that will add another dimension to his bowling

Also the other amazing thing is that compared to all other bowlers stated, after 28 tests Yasir has the most 5-fers. Just shows how much of a star player/ how important he has been for his team compared to the rest and their respective teams
