With the prior intelligence reports and complete details of an attack beforehand on Dera Ismail Khan Jail so much so that they even knew the routes of the attackers through which they will converge on the jail still it is the height of incompetence that provincial Government of KPK, police of KPK, Local government D.I.Khan & Frontier Constabulary could not stop this brazen and the biggest attack on a jail in the history of Pakistan. What a shame and it is truly incompetence at it's best.

Bannu jailbreak was also Imran's fault.

No. But it is gross incompetence from the district management and police who comes under the ministry of interior KPK.

These reports have been coming since he announced his decision to return to Pakistan. Taliban have already trained a suicide bomber squad.

The Taliban aren't a rag tag bunch of criminals. They are a semi-sophisticated well trained outfit. The country needs to collectively shift their perception of what the Taliban are in order to tackle them.

So true. They are well trained and capable fighters trained by the Americans in guerrilla warfare with help from the Pakistanis. They are structured and organized and have a great indepth understanding of military stratergies taught by the Americans. We are actually fighting a military force who have no regard for their own life's let alone anyone else's. that's what other organizations like the alqaeda have gained much of their expertise. The proof of which is in the way they carry out these attacks in a highly sophisticated manner.

The police can do nothing. No one is willing to risk their lives for peanuts. Plus half of the country's police force is busy protecting VIPs. The only way to root them out is by promoting education and an aggressive military campaign. To stop this evil coming back, our border with Afghanistan needs to be tightly sealed.

Pakistan and incompetences go hand in hand as its a nation that's failing day in and out to protect its own people. How can a country let a person like bin laden live for 9 years and nobody knew of it? Now this jail break which again brings another black spot to the country's name. Shouldn't really be called an Islamic state of Pakistan as just does the more harm to its own then others.

Total incompetence of PTI govt, stemming from the fact that they are utterly and totally confused about how to deal with things. Hence the provincial administration has totally collapsed because of the lack of clarity and confusion regarding their superiors and their policies. After completion of 5 years, this tenure of PTI will go down in the history books as the premium example of absolute collapse of administration. While Imran Khan will cool his heels in Mianwali, Lahore and Islamabad, KP will pay dearly for the decision that they made. If we are able to survive 5 years of PTI Mis-rule hopefully we will have learned our lessons.

This is why I would want Imran as Chief Minister of KPK. Even if this incident happens he would know how to deal with it in the future unlike Khattak and his men.

Well for Imran Khan to be Chief Minister of KP, he will have to Re-incarnate and be born in a family domicilled in KP. Don't think he'll take a human form in next incarnation.

Secondly why do you think that Imran would be able to deal with it. This confusion and cluelessness is due to Imran. When i used to tell PTI Jiyalas that they are in for a shock they used to laugh. Now they are slowly and grudgingly accepting what i already predicted.

No, to become CM he has to win a seat in KPK.

Cause Imran can deal with this better than Khattak. Khattak doesn't even deserve to be CM. And none of the KPK forces are motivated. And when I see Khan saab as CM KPK I see alot of those under him, especially police forces alot more motivated. They the police are still scared like they were under ANP. And I expect no different results from PTI than ANP because of Khattak. Imran is the man and he should be leading KPK out of this mess

You are totally wrong. Only a person domiciled in khyber pukhtoonkhwa can be its CM or minister. Last time I checked mianwali wasn't in kp.

So the only option that immu has of becoming kp cm is by reincarnation but they don't necessarily reincarnate into a human. Might be some stinking animal

Blaming the pti for this fiasco is little more than partisan politics. Its not like the law enforcement and penal system of pakistan isnt riddled with corruption and incompetence already. It would have happened regardless of the administration in charge.

The elections happened recently and you surely wouldnt expect pti to stamp out corruption in a country such as pakistan. It will take years if its possible at all. We are not talking about a first world nation here.....pakistan is as messed up as they come.

No. They will be all sent to Iraq to neutralize Iran's effort on Syria. This jailbreak is nothing but a setup. I don't think they are after Musharraf as he doesn't hold any effective power in our domestic politics.

ANP couldn't do anything in 5 years (I don't blame them cause USA interfered)

But in Sindh PPP haven't done anything, especially against those murderers MQM, instead they're inviting them to join the government.

FYI, PPP was also in the Sindh Government for the past 5 years. They have done nothing, they don't even have the excuse that the federal goverenment didn't help us because the same party PPP was also in the federal goverment for the past 5 years.

    http://dawn.com/news/1033064/jailbreak-it-wasnt-an-intelligence-failure-for-once

On July 27, a letter marked “secret” and “most immediate” by the country’s intelligence agency addressed to the commissioner, deputy commissioner, deputy inspector general of police, district police officer and the superintendent of Dera Ismail Khan central jail, stated: “It has been reliably learnt that miscreants namely Umer Khitab and his associates affiliated with Gandapur Group/TTP are planning to carry out terrorist attack against Central Jail – Dera Ismail Khan on the pattern similar to Bannu jailbreak in near future. According to information, miscreants are in possession of sketch/map of Jail and have reached in the vicinity of Dera Ismail Khan for this purpose.”

The letter went to the KP Home Secretary, Peshawar, Provincial Police Officer, Additional Chief Secretary Fata, Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Inspector General, Prison, KP and Commandant Frontier Constabulary, KP, Peshawar.

The intelligence was not merely confined to information about gathering of militants in Dera. The administration was warned that militants would be launching a three-pronged attack from Sabzi Mandi, Girls Degree College and Town Hall where they parked their 14 vehicles.

They were sent a letter that millitants are planning an attack on DI Khan jail. This is what Khan gets for appointing a loser like Khattak
