What is the fascination with fruit chaat during Ramadan? It's overrated imo.

Such a beautiful moment the time before iftar. Everyone waiting for the Adhan before opening fast.

Scrambled eggs with toast, a plate of rice Krispies and a cup of herbal green tea for 1st Sehri. Seem to be doing ok so far although the first one is normally relatively easy to get through.

It was the first Sehri so ill probably fall away later on. Water is important as youd have drank nothing throughout the day and i dont like drinking a lot after Iftar because i dont want to be caught short in the middle of Taraweeh lol.

So going to aim for at least 2 litres of water after Taraweeh every night, and start eating straight away after Taraweeh (as i dont sleep until after Fajr) and itll all add up

Had two home made rotti's with mixed vegi, because its difficult to eat much after getting up from deep sleep with drooping eyelids.

lately 2 boiled eggs with some tea

I started gym on 1st Ramadan. I normally only drink water in Sehri but since starting gym I need to have some intake.

for Iftar, one meal of whatever is cooked and thats it. I don't eat anything btw Iftar and Sehri

Haha usually I would have milk and dates but yesterday I was just a bit more hungry.

Also, it wasn't really a lot of food.

Just take two meals, in Iftari dates, some fruits and supper and in Sehri 2/3 home made rotti's.

The major difference I have done (so far) in this Ramadan and split my sleep in various chunks.

3 egg wala omelette with onion, tomato and dhaniya mixed in along with Weetabix and other cereal mixed in and obviously water for Sehri today.

Try and get 1.5/2 litres of water drank at Iftar and 0.5/1 litre at Sehri.

Teenday, 1 roti 2 chilli pakoras, 1 veg pakora, salad a glass of rooh afza and cup of black coffee in iftaar

Malteser, doodh pati and lots of water in sahoor.

Guess that just around 2000 calories. Need to be careful with my intake

    Teenday maybe under 200 calories
    Roti - 250
    Rooh afza maybe 150-200

Pakoras and samosa - around 400 calories because samosa alone is 250 calories

Doodh pati was semiskimmed so around 200 calories
And around 300-400 calories maltesers bag

    Altogether around 2000 lol

I have seen many people eating parathay in sehri on daily basis

While I have an appetite for heavy Pakistani foods, paratha is one thing that would make me extremely uncomfortable while fasting

I usually have water or some orange juice in seher, my aftaar is made by a nepalese maid who has no idea what a desi aftaar is supposed to be. The other day she made Lazaniya, something which I hardly ever eat when not fasting!

Thats the only desi thing I have trouble digesting.... or perhaps its only my wife's paratha which is suffocating for me lol

But anyway, its one of those foods that make you feel thirsty very soon

Perhaps you can show her some youtube videos. There are some desi iftar items which are really easy to make like pakoras, cholay, chaat etc.
