Reduce carb intake. And definitely cut down on the rice and rotis. Esp Salan which has so much oil in it. V unhealthy.
    Eat dinner before 7pm.
Drink green tea every morning and every 3 nights before sleeping.

Reducing carbs, roti, salan, biryani is all nonsense. Y'all don't exercise hard enough and looking for shortcuts.

Good for you? And I'm saying you don't need to cut carbs to get in shape.

Thanks. And it does help to reduce belly fat. Gym alone won't help as much. You can always replace white carbs with brown.. And I never said to cut carbs completely.

That's the point I was trying to convey. Exercise alone won't do much. Diet is the actual game changer.

Go try it. Let's see how long you can restrict yourself.

More important than reducing carbs intake is making sure that carbs don't get converted into fat..

It's pretty much all diet. People vastly underestimate their caloric intake and then question why they aren't losing weight. Exercise plays a part, however you can't out train a bad diet. Eating carbs doesn't make you fat. It is being in a calorie surplus which makes you fat.

How to know how much calories are we taking? We can't check the amount of calories in every damn thing.

@shaik Cut out snacks, biscuits, chocolate etc..eat in moderation though. You will find that lifting weights is better than cardio for losing weight.

I normally have a light breakfast...have lunch around 1-2pm. Then some fruit or something light around 5-6pm...gym at 8pm followed by protein shake. That's me done for the day. If I have three meals, I end up bloated & uncomfortable into the next day.

I've also invested in a Nutri Bullet blender. I sometimes blend a smoothie for breakfast consisting of fat free greek yoghurt, pomegranate, frozen rasberries & blueberries. It is nutritional & tasty. Perfect for breakfast.

I eat everything and don't worry for weight. And believe me I am perfectly fine. Humans tend to make life complicated for themselves. I am not one of them.

I used to be same as well but for last year or 2 I hv started gaining a lot of weight. Only this year I gained around 15 kilos .. I hv a bit of a pot belly as well. I never cared for what I eat but it's started to take effect on me now and that too in a bad way.

You will have to estimate. A diet which keeps your weight at the same level is your maintenance level of calories. If you want to increase weight you eat more than this, if you want to lose weight you eat less than this.

I have been on a calorie surplus diet to gain weight. But it also works to lose weight. If you are accurate with your caloric intake then there is no reason why it wouldn't work. The thing is, especially with desi food, the calories are underestimated.

I was pretty accurate. I had a lot less calories than recommended. And I lost some weight but not much. Few months ago I went on a low carb diet and that worked for me in 2.5 months. I had been trying the low calories diet for a year atleast.

All diets are based on caloric restriction. Cutting carbs works because carbs are very calorie dense. It is a lot easier to eat a greater amount of calories in carbs than it is for meat for example.

After being told off by guys right, left and center for getting too skinny, I have ditched my catabolic Triathlon training and have gained muscle weight again.

    Latest stats:

    Weight: 70kg (gained 8KG since 26/09/16)
    BMI: 22.5
    Body fat: 19%
    Waist: 30cm

Feeling quite about myself now.
