So, He's made it to the squad. Lets see if he's got what it takes or if he's just a one game pony. Hope he does well if given a chance.
Well it was clearly evident that the guy is not ready for international cricket, to raw. But this experience will do a world of good for him, now needs to go back and work on his game. Has the ingredients to be successful, now the PCB need to make sure that he is nurtured well. Its not the end of the world.
I'd agree with that .. If you look at the clip on OP he's bowling with some pride and straight don't know what's wrong with him right now and why he can't bowl straight and with beautiful pace.
hes only 19 and the pressure of his nerves and the crowd got ot him. Plus he was bowling the same line and length he was in the domestic..basically the length that he would bowl when he was getting swing. There was none at offer hence all the down leg wide deliveries.
can somebody ask Shoaib why he still rates Umar Amin as a batsman then? 27 innings combined across the 3 int. formats with just one 50
Wasim gave an interview during the bowling camp he had where he said that he has worked with Anwar Ali and modified his action, to get the bowl to swing in. How he's swinging the ball both ways.
In domestic he was bowling with Grey Balls which tends to swing more unlike Kookaburra. Tabhi mar kha gya
Does anyone thinks that Hafeez basically played with this guy - jolt his confidence in first match and then offered no respite to him in second - basically shot him down ??
nah..he was bowling the line and length thinking he would swing the ball, like the video in OP...only problem is that there was no swing and his experience made him persist with that line, until he changed it in the last over.
Yes that's true since he was forced to pick him by Misbah and Najam Sethi, according to sources. Apparently the only way he could've gotten him away from the team was this way.
Then select him for the ODIs. Why the hell would Misbah request him to be a part of the team he himself is not.
This seems like the scenario with Mohd Irfan when he came for first match in England and Afridi was visibly unhappy from him and basically shattered his confidence , only for him to bounce back after a couple of years so beautifully . Can Usman do that ??
That's what some journalists on twitter tweeted. Apparently Misbah was very impressed with him and wanted him to be slotted into the T20 squad since he performed in T20 matches and not in List A matches. I'm not sure however.
I think for sirilanka's test matches they should bring in M talha. He is fastest bowler in pakistan and lately, he had been very consistent
On a side note, annoys me when people with common names like "Usman Khan" and "Imran Khan" aren't referred to by commentators reporters and statisticians, for instance, as Usman Shinwari or Mohammad Imran, which are less common. Maybe it's the player's preference but if not people should really have commonsense
He joined Karachi Kings as an emerging player a few days ago after Abrar Ahmed was injured. He's been injured and was out for sometime and the first thing I noticed in the first match he played a few days back was that he's changed his action and it's more like a left arm Umar Gul. Today he bowled really well and got those yorkers in especially in the death overs. It's good to see him in action again though!
