The druga being smoked by shezza look very appealing.
half a ton lol
To be fair the reporter said half a ton first
Btw I heard he got into another controversy today...
Look at ABDV, Smith, Lara, Inzamam, Kane, Root, Warner, Cook, Roy, Amla, McCullum
Class players that were/are alwaya humble and don't show any attitude or arrogance of any sort. In fact they have always been humble about their performances
Then you have
Kohli, Gambhir who think they are above everyone else just because they got a good couple of seasons under their belt but forget that ABDV, Smith, Kane, Root, Amla, De Kock are still better yet they don't show any sort of arrogance
The you have Shehzad, enough said
To be honest Kohli has backed up his talk with performances, he may be an exception but as long as he is performing no one can really criticize him for being cocky.
ABDV, Root, Kane, Smith, Cook are all better than him. Yet we never see the arrogant side of them. Because they are humble and fame doesn't go to their head
It's simple Sub-Continent players think they are some prince when having some good seasons. Shows how low the standard and class of these people
Kohli has performed better than almost all you have mentioned. At worst similar level
You are talking as if there is a huge gulf
Also as long as he is performing it's fine whether he is cocky
The issue is that a limited player like Shehzad who is a failure and he played mostly due to his relationship with Afridi, gives the attitude as if he is second coming of Ponting
What ? Kohlis performed better than AB, Root, Kane
In ODIs he is definitely up there along with AB. Better than Kane & Root in ODIs without a shadow of a doubt.
Even in tests he's very good.
Look at his stats in Australia, 1000 runs at average of 62 with 5 centuries in just 8 games!
Also from small sample he averages 71 in NZ and 68 in SA.
Those are amazing for a player who is largely ridiculed for his test stats.
P.s. pathetic stats in Eng, average of 13 after 5 games! one place he must improve
In ODIs he almost certainly has
In tests he is not at the top but he certainly has big scores even if he failed in England. His record in Australia is unbelievable. Mind you the others also played on same pitches and apart from root also have great records
Cook, Devillier, Faf, Root, Rahane all have better record in Test in Australia
Kohli wasn't dominating alone in Australia, Rahane was doing that as well. You people make him sound like Lara or Sachin who were the only ones scoring runs while others were failing around them...smh
I think Kohli iS Wannabe Ahmed Shahzad!!
Kohli must be cursing himself he doesn't have stats like Shehzad.
Once again, Shahzad has solved the case. Someone nerf this man.
Been saying this since 1996.
Please atleast bother to check stats before posting rididculous fabriactions
Averages in Australia
Kohli : 62, 5 centuries
Root: 27.4, 0 centuries
DeVilliers: 44.7, 2 centuries
Cook: 49.5, 4 centuries
DuPlessis: 146, 1 century (2 tests so low sample set)
what is with sudden comparing everyone on basis of Australian pitches which have been phattas for the last 3-4 years
compare their avgs in England, South Africa, New Zeland and then come back to me
You are the one who said that all thosep layers have better record than him in Australia. And once i showed that you were wrong you are suddenly shifting goal posts now
Also in any case Kohli averages 68 in South Africa and 70s in NZ so your argument falls flat there too. Only place where he didnt do well is england and i mentioned that in my very first post
Dude, @Patriot - why so bitter lol ? Just admit Kohli is a great player.
Fantastic LOI player. Has more ODI 100's than Root & KW combined, plus averages nearly 50 in T20Is
Hasn't performed upto his potential in tests, but he has a very high ceiling and I'd expect him to improve in that format too.
the thing is that he had a absolutely terrible Englanf tour.
And while he hasnt been as beastly in Tests as in ODIs but it doesnt mean hes been poor in tests. Its just that he hasnt been as good as the expectations and talent. But overall he has been more than solid. Averages 47.
Even after that his away averages are:
New Zealand: 71
Home he averages 47 which means he isnt really padding his stats at home as he has had to play at some really messed up dust bowls in recent years. If he was padding his stats at home like most then his record would be even better.
a great player don't choke on bowling pitches so sthu
That sounds a bit like an excuse tbh. I respect the guy, but he hasn't been consistent enough in tests YET. Obviously he has the potential to do better than he has done.
He gets compared to guys like Root & KW, so yeah what you said stands true as well - he hasn't done all too badly (expect vs England); just not upto expectations.
I think ICC rankings are a good indication of how consistent a player is, and at the moment KW, Root, and even Azhar, Shafiq are ahead of Virat, so he has some work to do in tests..
How is it an excuse
Either his runs there are tough or ashwins wickets there are easy. You can't have both
Subcontinental batsmen are expected to do well vs spin, plus it's not like Ashwin is a nothing bowler; he's obviously assisted by the pitches, but he's also better than spinners on the opposition teams, so Kohli should still be doing well at home.
What is Kohli's record in UAE? End of the story!
Normally I would say ok you're trolling now but honestly you can never be sure these days
