Wasim is spot on. Junaid is a rhythm bowler he has to bowl his full quota. He may start bad or end bad but if he gets his full quota he will get you a wicket or two
thou the concern with him is his length. I dont know why hes not bowling fuller or even the yorkers. His economy rate also takes a hit.
Junaid has been bowling a lot of garbage. He doesn't warrant a full set of overs. He should sort his run up out.
Yeah still, he bowled better than Junaid. If you are taking them on merit. I think you are basing this on Junaid's potential rather than actual recent performances.
imo keep Junaid Khan and bring in some new guy somewhat, Umar Gul should only play t20's. You could bring in Asad Ali or some guy to replace him and even bring in Wahab Riaz. Nothing bad in giving him a try.
The main problem is that they are using Gul as a new ball bowler and Junaid as an old ball bowler. it should be vice versa. Junaid, based on a couple of Lancashire T20s, is wrongly assumed an old ball bowler, he's usually crap at the finish whenever I've seen him for Pakistan with the exception of 2/3 games. He is a SUPERB new ball bowler and that is where he should be
The prob is when these bowlers ball in the nets to fellow team mates, they are bowling to tuk tuk stars, players batting at S/R of 50 :shh and when they go in international games, they have to ball to bang bang stars. They all seem lost when they are attacked and keep bowling the same length and line.
oh God NEVER Again do I want Sohail Tanvir, he just isn't threatening as a bowler, even if he's economical by chance!
