It will not come down to this. NZ will win InshaAllah
If it comes down to NRR then best way for Pakistan will be to restrict Bangla to around 150 and try to score these runs in 10 overs.
Explain to me what makes New Zealand performance better than Pakistan in this tournament?
If they both finish on 11 points, that means:
They both beat
They both lost to
New Zealand beat West Indies but lost to England.
Pakistan beat England but lost to West Indies.
Pakistan's match vs Sri Lanka was washed out.
New Zealand's match vs India was washed out.
Pakistan beat New Zealand.
Sri Lanka 338/6 * (50 ov) on the ground where NZ will play ENG
Should be another belter - if NZ bat first they can put a lot of pressure on England
"For Pakistan to go past New Zealand, the result of the two relevant matches - Pakistan beating Bangladesh and England beating New Zealand - will have to be in the region of around 220 runs each."
Means that if England beat NZ by say 100 runs Pakistan need to beat Bangla by 120 runs. So for our sake we should pray that NZ win if not then England should really win Big around 150 runs. This will make our work somewhat easy.
So basically NZ has to lose by 220 and Pak has to win by 220?
Okay got it now. Then it's impossible to beat NZ in NRR.
Only hope is NZ. LOL
Imagine Kane winning the toss and deciding to field?
Our destiny could have in our own hands if that shot by Carlos went for 6. Small margins.
reckon India should have tried, Majorly disappointed with the lot there
The only real game that we were expected to win and that we lost was to the west indies. Expect for that we haven't played all that bad , we always lose to India in the world cup and the Aussies always come strong. That one point vs Sri Lanka has really cost us.
Lads anything can happen in cricket. Who would have thought Pakistan could get skittles out for 110 vs west Indies.
Similarly who would have thought that Pakistan could then go on to beat England.
One thing about cricket is sometimes the game finds ways to surprise you. A team can succumb to pressure and get bowled out for nothing or bowlers can succumb to pressure and get hit for world record scores.
In a recent T20 WC Netherlands somehow destroyed Ireland by a huge margin by winning in 13 overs to leapfrog them on run rate.
Yes it is not likely....but nothing is impossible in this game. Let's keep believing.
New Zealand will beat England tomorrow - bookmark this post
Tomorrow I think we got a few options for a result that could benefit pakistan, if kiwis win toss and bat and get a good score then England could fold under pressure no doubt about it, or the other scenario is England win toss and bat on the Durham featherbed then they could really make hay and score over 400+ and virtually put new zealand under tremendous pressure for a hammering which could help pakistan
Eng would need to win by a impossible margin I believe
England get 450 and bowl kiwis out for 200, and we batted bangladesh then it's game on
Khuwabo mein bhai, khuwabo mein.
Its a possibility, it's a flat featherbed with small dimensions, I reckon England could score massive after their confidence boosting win over India, other alternative new zealand bat and put England under pressure whilst chasing
Far from over, kiwis are a good side when playing well, if they play well England could be in troube
NZ will win tomorrow, then all we need to do is Bangladesh.
Don’t worry about all these 300 run victory margins that is never going to happen.
I hope its that straightforward
Nz must win even if it's by 1 run it's a win, much simpler then Nz losing by a heavy margin.
Pak has to beat Bangladesh.
It's this sentimental and rudimentary mindset driven by dumb emotions that has kept the betting industry alive.
Umeed se hi toh dunya qaaim hai
Umeed rakhna aur cheez hai, aur Khuda ban-nay ki acting karna aur cheez hai.
Tumhay kia pata future mein kia hai? kis baagh ki mooli ho tum?
Next time before making 100% claims and coming up with stupid predictions like "Pakistan WILL win and bookmark this thread", choose your words wisely.
If NZ get bowled out for under 200, how many runs/wickets will Pakistan have to win by to qualify for the semis?

It's still 300+. So no chance.
What if they are 150 all out?

It's about 440 run difference so no chance at all really. Oh well it's disappointing but this team has a good future imo, just need to find 3/4 players.
Need to beat Bangladesh by 316 runs
What if we bowl first?
If they score 100, we'll have to chase the target within 3.1 overs
Pakistan out in the most painful way.
So near yet so far.
Sorry -7 overs lol
