Rigged Election!! He is giving a tough run for money to NS in his home province which is also home to IK himself but NS has been doing politics in Punjab for last 40 years and status-quo is so entrenched into their system that it will take a long time to cure the defect in the roots!! This status-quo is entrenched at the lowest level!!
Every bi-election, IK is winning or losing by a close margin in Punjab!! What happened in Lodhran for example!!

Hanif Mohammad, Zaheer Abbass, Miandad were all from 80s whereas in the 90s most of the great cricketers came from Punjab, most of them like Imran Khan, Wasim, Waqar, Inzamam, Aamir Sohail, Saqlain, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ijaz Ahmed, Salim Malik, Rameez Raja etc they were all from Punjab. Karachi hardly produced great players in 90s except for Saeed Anwar, Moeen Khan and Rashid Latif, with Moin and Rashid being keepers. In 00s as well, Inzamam, Yousuf, Younus were all from Punjab or KPK, Mohammad Asif, Shoaib Akhtar were from Punjab as well, even Mohd Amir is from Punjab./ Now name me good cricketers from Karachi in this period between 90s till 00s end.
Currently, there are some good decent cricketers from Karachi and its good to see that. Likes of Fawad Alam, who is getting neglected like Asim Kamal in past, Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz, Anwar Ali are all very good!! Fawad Alam is the best young talent in my opinion that we have currently!
Even, now the likes of Younus, Misbah and Azhar, Yasir Shah and Amir are all from Punjab or KPK!

The issues are deeper than a ready made world beater in Karachi being ignored. Basit Ali was a talent to behold. In 1993, he took the fearsome W.I bowling attack including Walsh and Ambrose to cleaners when he made 127 off 79 balls in a Sharjah final. He completed his century with a small bat in 67 balls, which was one of the fastest, if not the fastest century of that time. Even though Lara took Waqar and co. to the cleaners in reply and won the match for W.I, he told Basit that he's never seen anyone smash his bowlers like that. Yet he didn't even make it for the world cup 96.

I read his interview once that when his form suffered, they demoted him to number 7. But when Inzi's form suffered, they promoted him to open the innings in 97/98 VB series in Australia. Mind you, I started watching cricket in 96, and I had to wait 5 years to watch Inzi score a century. Inzi was pathetic throughout 90s and was carried by the team for his random 50 here and there. Inzi 2.0 did go on to become a great post the disastrous wc 2003, but only after he was given a decade of chances. Even then, he always choked in the world cups, averages very poorly against SA and Australia, and even sat "injured out" in Australia like Hafeez does now to avoid difficult tours.

For all the great cricketers you mentioned from Punjab, you also have Farhats, Butts, Maliks, Hafeezs, Shehzads, Kukris, Nasir Jamsheds, Taufiqs, Akmals and shit ton of other mediocres who got decades worth of games. Surely they could've let Karachi players play as many games just to be politically correct for christ sake. At least pretend that you care about other regions. Such blatant discrimination doesn't inspire loyalty from minorities.

Lastly, what's the deal with mentioning Misbah, Azhar and Amir as if they're some world beaters. The first was a serial choker in big events and brought us to number 8 in ODIs with his captaincy, the second is just a shit ODI cricketer and has been made the captain (if you're referring to their test expoits, why're they captaining in ODIs), and the last one belongs to the fine line of fixers produced by Punjab. Amir hasn't achieved shit in cricket and by all accounts looks ordinary when not playing in the swinging conditions of Dhaka, where even Bhuvneshwar was swinging like McGrath.

We need a quota system. We are at number 9 with 11 out of 15 Punjabis anyway.

Let Karachi be a country of its own then. They don't want to be with Pakistan anyway. Pakistan needs Karachi, not the other way around. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Whoever says they hate Karachi don't deserve to be part of it either. Why do you still live in Karachi?

I think majority of Karachiites like me want to be part of Pakistan and MQM wont even win any elections right now if they were not rigged!! They were losing from even Azizabad in 2013 elections let alone any other place!! PTI got 33000 genuine votes from Azizabad and MQM was getting no votes until 2 PM before rigging started there!!

So you represent the majority of Karachi? Majority of Karachi hate the city, are ok with being discriminated in almost every department and want to watch the national team full of Punjabis sinking to new lows every year?

You're the one who needs to go from Karachi. You dodged my question once again; Why haven't you moved to another city/province?

They are No. 1 in test format and thats what matters and can be No,. 1 in ODI's too if they follow Imran Khan's strategy!! In ODI's, we are not playing specialists! that's the major problem! we are playing bits and pieces and trying to copy other teams at modern cricket and not playing to our own strength!!

If Karachi player is good enough, then he must get selected!! There should be no quota system, otherwise we will have the same problem as African team!! The fact is that Karachi players were not good enough during 90s and 00s!! Right now, there are some decent players and I think Fawad Alam should be the Captain of ODI team and Sarfraz Vice Captain purely on merit!!

Basit Ali was no Inzamam~~ Inzamam is the greatest batsman ever to have played cricket in my opinion him along with Saeed Anwar!! I rate Saeed Anwar, Inzamam and Yousuf even higher than Sachin, Dravid and Laxman!

Are you kidding me? The problem is we're playing too many specialists and not bits and pieces like others. Who the hell needs Azhar in their ODI side? Would a county ODI side ever sign him up? If a county won't, how the hell did he become the captain of Pak ODI side? We have so many specialists and so little bits and pieces in ODIs, that we have the longest tail in cricket.

Khalid Latif and Shahzaib Hasan have always been the perfect hacks for modern LOI, but were always ignored for tuk tuk players like Shehzad, Azhar, Sami Aslam and such. PCB just wants players from their town even if their cricket is outdated by a decade.

What have you done to fight them other than telling us that Karachi produces the worst cricketers and Azhar Ali is a world beater?

Problems like automatically qualifying for the world cup?

We need quota system. There are no excuses seeing how South Africa has consistently been a better side than us forever.

Forget the county team, Australia would love to have a batsman like Azhar!! Even, India would drop Kohli for him!! Bits and pieces hi to khila rahe hein jaise Imad Wasim aur Nawaz kiya result araha hai?

No man he decides to garner support from the Lahori dudes of PakPassion by belittling anybody from his own region lol. That way if he decides to suddenly rate even one player he is not going to be accused of regionalism. Guy is an uncle tom

He does go out of his way to hate Younis, Junaid, Gul, Yasir Shah and pretty much every pathan cricketer. And then he rates players like Umer Amin. Uncle Tom is the right term you used for him.

You think it's justifiable that 11 out of 16 people in the ODI team come from a province with 46% of Pakistan's population? Sindh with about 25% of Pakistan's population should have 2 players representing a 16 man squad?

This is Pakistan cricket's equivalent of #AllLivesMatter bs. It basically means f u we will continue favoring Punjabi players.

"I don't rate Fawad, Khalid, Shahzaib, Khurram and support Azhar, Hafeez, Malik, Akmals. And I believe that players should be picked irrespective of their city or province"

"I have ALWAYS supported Sarfraz's captaincy...since the days of under 19....BUT..I think Imad Wasim would make a great captain. But no not because I want a Punjabi captain...you see I believe region shouldn't matter. Notice how I support Sarfraz for example. I support him so much that I want Imad to be the captain"

People think they're so clever with their bs. I can smell their bs before I'm even done reading their post.
