Pakistan as we all know is always unpredicted.....now that Pakistan has taken the lead of 75 runs and England are 6-1,so i think Pakistan should look for a chase less than 200,if any thing greater than 200 than it will be a tough ask, currently we are in a strong position and done well in first two days, now it upto the bowlers to restrict them to 250 or 260....as well as this time we expect some agressive captaincy from Salman Butt unlike the first innings.

comfortable chase would b less than 200 ..

and if we want it to b chased easily ,one of the top 3 must atleast score a 50 ..

Can we stop quoting this 'Pakistan is unpredictable' nonsense?

Pakistan for some time have been very predictable: bat poor, drop catches, bowl reasonably well, lose game.

This test has been a welcome change.

Anything above 200 will be a tough ask. But to be honest anything above a 100 and our lads will be getting the jitters.

Would you have "predicted" this welcome change? :p

35-2, Cook well set .... I see England declaring some time tomorrow and win comfortably. Predictable, I guess! :)

Well if you thinks that's going to happen then theres no point asking whether I could have predicted this welcome change or not.

They'll have a crack at another record no doubt, and surely 'law of averages' suggests they'll acheive on sooner than later.

Or perhaps not. Still 2.5 days to go and Trott batting serenely with the Sleep Pill advert Collingwood to come.

477-4 declared: 422 To win in 1 day and a session it is.

Still, if the last 2 put on even 10, there's alot of work to be done.

If the openers can make 70 or reach 100-3 -- something like Headingley then the win is there. There are 2 ways to go about it: play it around and subsequently get bogged down plus collapse; or play with intent and get
there comfortably - much like England at Birmingham.

If you analyze the test day by day then Pakistan have won all three days.

There was a moment at the Oval when it seemed that the England batsman were in it for the long haul but Pakistan struck back nicely.

Really we should win the game. But then again this current Pakistan team is the only side in the world that can lose a test match even after having the best of the first three days.

Nothing is ever comfortable chasing in the 4th innings, especially with Pakistan. We have given ourselves a fantastic oppurtunity though. Get that final wicket quicky in the morning and then knock the 150 runs or so off somewhere in the final session. Had it not been so far away i would have gone down to watch the game.
