He can't do anything right in the eyes of some people.
Not his fault today. You can't chase 190 all by yourself.
Ahson disliking my post meaning he hasn't improved in the last few months. Kay
You know how much blame lies with Babar?
Absolutely none. The guy got the team to a winning position. What else could he do??
this is such a weird thread. we dont have players who can bat, why would anyone worry about the details of whether he is an ATG or a 90% ATG or whatever?
its a team game, its not just up to him to score. I would settle happily for guy averaging 40+ in odis. if we have a wealth of those types bats to choose from, then yes the next stage of discernment might be pressure handling and long game concentration - but until then, this thread is like trying to discuss a race horse team out of a line up of a shetland pony, four donkeys, a horse and a hippo, and then discussing whether the horse has long enough eye lashes.
he needs to be dropped asap. we need a match finisher
Without a doubt the most classy batter in the team. A joy to watch when in full rhythm.
Very Harsh to blame Babar for today’s loss.
Yup. Commentators were full of praise. Classiest batsman since Yousuf.
He was acting like most posters here saying he dont want him to play for his 100 even when he wasnt
If he starts finishing these games he will go from being a very good batsman to become a modern day great. To average 50+ in t20Is is awesome but to finish games with that average would be amazing. He's only 24 so can't expect him to be the complete package yet but I hope he does become it in another year or so.
He's the best overall batsman to come from this country since 1990s
Its a team game. Babar has been pulling his weight and then some. time for the passengers to contribute.
Pakistani fans are such jokers, criticizing the one guy who actually gave the team a winning chance. I bet if their favorite player had played this same innings, their opinions would be different. In that case, they would be talking about Babar's amazing batting today and cricket being a team game.
His inning today was world class, but let's break it down.
He made 72 off 43 balls half way through the inning, so at 10 overs when we needed 88 off 60 balls. He continued making 18 runs off his next 15 balls and then got out.
For someone batting at 167 SR for the first half of the inning and then dropping down to 120SR after 10 overs when you are supposed to be going at 8.8RPO, again this either shows his lack of ability to finish well or he got tired. Getting tired after playing 10 overs is a concern and so is dropping down your strike rate from 167 to 120.
People need to realise, when we raise such concerns it's not because we want him out of the team. It's because he can do so much better and because there is a lot of room for improvement for Babar.
Babar is a one in a generation talent and I have no doubt he will score 10000 ODI runs for us if he plays that long.
People are not getting the point it seems. There is something called constructive criticism. Like a win covers all the faults a big score by a batsman also does the same. But some people are not blind.
Babar needs to be shown the door.
As of now I dont see anyone better than BA in the squad. Hence Talat is an ODI player not T20!
Babar played very well yesterday but the whole time didn't performed
Babar Azam is a superstar of Pakistan in upcoming years inshaAllah
Will you ever stop trolling? and that other regionalist clown @Mohammed Bilal who has hatred for Pashtun players
I originate from Kashmir, single player hasn't played for Pak from Kashmir because they dont let our players come forwards.
Nor from England has player played from my city nor from Pakistan, i'm in best area to know who is good and who is not because I have no bias attached.
Sure, but we need more than one reliable batsmen - at least 2 in the middle order.
I think somebody showed him this thread to him yesterday and read all -ve comments of this thread.
If we somehow are able to get 2 more batters like Babar in the team, then the batting will be rock solid.
Babar may not be finishing matches like miandad currently, but is likely to do that in future.
@Del - most selfish player in the team. Called it long ago.
Couldnt agree more, its very obvious.
Touch days are ahead for his supports.
He always contributes. Hasn't won a single match.
Yes. Most selfish batsman in the team. Much more than those who leave the team in 10/3 hole. How dare he score runs at run a ball.
Half way through the World Cup

Never. He’ll look good making 40 and then get out.
He's a baby
Soft soft player. Useless impactless. Will never improve. Pakistans Chandimal
He played beautiful cover drives and will look pretty in the pictures next day
Should’ve kicked up a gear today but there’s no one who bats at a high level either. Babar is the least of our worries when Malik is still leeching off our team

Very dissapointed on Babar's dismissal against Kuldeep. Needs to toughen up. Wasn't at his best today.
Our players can't take responsibility. You can see the pattern with Fakhar, Babar, Hassan, Shadab. When they were making their name they were doing OK but now when they are 'expected' to live up to the hype they are nowhere close.
Turning just like his cousins
but at least Babar bashes minnows

Basically it's easy to say Babar is trash and compare with Kohli but when Kohli came into Indian team he had Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni. Who does Babar have?
Which minnows has he bashed? He can score runs against decent attacks. It's just lack of temperament.
