Which other sports do you follow?

Everyone here shares the same passion for cricket, we all know that much. There are a few football fans between us too.
What other sports do you follow?

I’ll start with myself. I used to be able to sit down and watch many sports. As well as cricket I absolutely love watching football. I follow Man Utd but I can sit there and watch any game being played. I also follow boxing really closely and still stay up for the big fights.

Not a massive follower of UFC but if it’s on then I will sit there and watch it. I used to really be in to Athletics and Tennis a few years ago but not as much any more.

Still follow the big tournaments of Snooker and even watch the Darts world championships when they are on at the end of the year.

Few sports that I have never really got in to are Golf and Rugby although would love to have watched the latter.

Wrestling if you want to call it a sport was something I watched with a passion up until the end of the attitude era.

Used to follow football and tennis until few years back but nothing these days

 

Any particular team in football? Who was your favourite tennis player?

Used to always watch Wimbledon, Pete Sampras was on another level. What a player.

 

Football...love Arsenal and they were arguably my first love tbh (i got into cricket during the 99 World Cup), i fell in love with Bergkamp and Arsenal before that.

Follow tennis during Wimbledon but not really into it, love playing it though. I remember coming back from school and watching Henman do his thing lol

I used to follow hockey actually, i used to play hockey back in high school and was trained by a former England player too (the name escapes me). Used to watch the Sultan Azlan Cup when it used to be shown on TV and obviously the Champions Trophy; World Cup and Olympics. Pakistans demise and the retirements of the likes of Rehan Butt, Mohammad Saqlain, Shakeel Abbasi and of course, the Penalty Corner King Sohail Abbas took with it my interest. Though i still keep an eye on the results.

Watch a bit of rugby now and again when the World Cup or Six Nations is on.

Bergkamp was an extraordinary player. Just imagine if he did not have his fear of flying, Arsenal could have done so much better in Europe I believe.

Expecting a few on here to be Hockey fans. Never really followed it myself unless it was being played at the Olympics

Have never got my head round NFL. Someone needs to explain the rules to me!

 

CRICKET! Always has been and always will be.

Other than that as a kid used to be into watching a fair bit of wrestling too as used to like watching Hulk Hogan, Brett Hart and the others of course then came The Under Taker.

Tennis has been a sport I've been into as well from the days of Edberg, Borris, Lendl and others like Steffi Graff and Pete Sampras.

Football I only tend to get into when the WC or Euro is being played apart from that not really into it.

 

Yeah its a shame. If/when he goes into 'proper/mainstream' management, dont know what he'll do for his teams European games. Cant drive all the time lol

Btw all the football scene in Karachi is in Lyari where all our Makrani boys are considered the beast.

 

Yeah i know, Karachi (well Liyari) and Balochistan are the hubs of football in Pakistan.

Follow swimming, especially open water swimming as I am an avid swimmer myself. Used to follow cycling and tennis as well when was living in the UK, don't follow these anymore. I perhaps spend more time playing my sport than following any other, and my only sport is triathlon, combining my love for both swimming and cycling, the running part i don't mind either.

Cricket is the only sport I have been following since 92, but never actually played it!

 

UFC, boxing and wrestling

NFL rules are simple and its a very interesting and addicting sport

 

Football and MMA.

none for me. used to watch a bit of boxing, but not interested anymore. cannot stand football.

 

Used to follow a bunch but now I'm a casual watcher. Their athletic feats don't impress me anymore.

 

I watch/follow basketball pretty religiously.

 

No other sport, only glory hunt in football.

Wrestling was so much better in them days. I used to run around the house thinking I was the Warrior all the time!

I know they have leagues over here in the UK but don't think they come close to the ones across the pond

 

Football- I’m no good at it but I support the downy team Chelsea, I like to play Table Tennis.

 

It’s the Man U, City rivalry that is most intense, the London rivalries are crap because there are 4-5 clubs that are based in and around different parts of London.

Spurs-Chelsea is our most intense rivalry.

 

Talking about when Wenger and Fergie were at each others throats, not seen any bigger rivalry in the PL

 

Yeah I mean it's an American sport lol, I think it has the largest following in America now.
