    Title says it all.

Do you think if AUS had their key players (Warner and Smith) then series result couldve been different?

Also, will Abbas be able to take their wickets as well?

    Thoughts?

I think we would have had the same result.

A team with Warner & Smith lost to Bangladesh and we're a team that's much better in Tests than Bangladesh.

The only reason we've lost the Tests that we've had (vs Sri Lanka) is we didn't include any decent spinners to partner Yasir Shah. We had Haris Sohail as the 4th bowler in the 2nd innings of the 2nd Test and he picked up 3 wickets.

We are in need of a left armer like Abdur Rehman and even Zulfiqar Babar.

The series versus England in 2012 and Australia in 2014, Abdur and Zulfiqar did a lot of damage.

I don't understand how we lost to a depleted West Indies side in the 3rd Test in 2016 though.

That was our full strength team.

While no one can predict anything, i would dare say that Australia would have stretched first test even more , had Warner and Smith there (like close to winning). Just like we did in Australia. But like us they wouldn't have won.
The result of the second Test would have remained the same, minus 150 runs or so.

All in all, the series result would have been the same.

If Abbas did bowled at Smith and Warner, it would have been an invaluable lesson for him, even if he wasn't so effective against them.

I think Pakistan did beat them 2-0 last time with both Smith and Warner.

Think they missed Hazlewood or say someone like Cummins more.. they would have been handful on this series. Aussies bowling was toothless tbh

No. They would have struggled also.

The top Australian side of 2014 lost 2-0, no difference. Apart from Smith and Khawaja, the rest of the players don't have the right game plan for UAE conditions.
